This size provides a functional marker that takes up less room on the guitar neck. The Ivory color is less of a standout on the neck than the standard Pearl White color. Once I got the hang of how to put these on, they look great. Just position the little dot where you want it, and push it down with a stick, gently, and it stays. The white dots look like they were built-in but they are removable, perfect for frets 5,7,9 on a classical guitar. I installed these on several guitars and am ordering again.

They do the job and look good when they are on your guitar. Unfortunately they don’t last long if you play out professionally like I do. So far I’ve had to replace the 3rd/5th/7th frets after every 3-4 gigs because they fall off easily after a few gigs.I just bought my 3rd pack in 2 months because I have no other option and my acoustic was built with very small and hard to see fret dots.They are easy to apply if you are very careful and solve the fret marker issue. Just wish they could withstand more hand gliding.

Was only able to use 4 of the dots from the sheet of 12. Some of the dots were already off the paper and unusable. Other dots would not stick. I was just about able to complete the guitar I was doing with the 4 usable dots. I hope these dots stick on the guitar since I do not have any back-up dots to use.

They do the job, look good. And hey if they rub off, there are twelve of them. I actually used the paint that is suggested as "permanent" by guitarists and THAT came off (clean). I am not even a person who hangs their thumb over the top of the neck. So a permanent solution besides actually building them into the neck I don't think exists. I just have to have a fifth fret dot. I wish luthiers and other builders weren't so afraid of putting them in. Even professionals often put their own on. It's just a tool. It's not some kind of "remedial" test.

Unlike some other reviewers, I found these very easy to apply. They are so thin that I cannot even feel that they are there. I have used them on several acoustic guitars and so far, none have come off.

I have used the fret markers over the years. It can be a little tricky to get them applied to the side of the fretboard but with a steady hand it can be done. The dots do last for quite a while, but just be careful to avoid rigorous rubbing of the side of the guitar neck when cleaning the guitar. These are the next best thing - other that taking your guitar to a Luthier had having them professionally installed.
