I had recently tried the string beads and thought it might be wise to buy the Classical Guitar Soundboard Protectors. I wasn't mistaken. About a month after being installed, a string snapped. I wasn't even playing the guitar!Anyway, the string snapped at the bead. No mars on the guitar top from either the string or the string bead flying off the guitar. These Classical Guitar Soundboard Protectors are so thin and light, I couldn't hear any affect on the sound of the guitar. They stick well enough, I don't know how often they'll need to be replaced if ever.

These extremely easy to install, static cling soundboard protectors, are exactly what I was looking for. After having a high E string slip its knot and ding my guitar’s soundboard, I knew I needed to purchase these. The set comes with three protectors. You can use just one protector on your guitar or add two or three (one on top of each other) for added protection. These protectors are thin enough not to affect the guitar’s tone in any way. These protectors are a small price to pay to prevent unsightly damage to your guitars soundboard in the event of a string failure. **Update** I just wanted to validate how good these soundboard protectors are. I have an old Yamaha classical that I have a double layer of soundboard protectors on. I was changing the strings and heard the infamous THAWACK! as I was tuning the high E. The high E snapped right at the knot. The soundboard protectors did their job and there wasn’t any damage to my guitar. In fact there wasn’t even a mark on the soundboard protector! Thank you for this great product!!

Little expensive but does the job. Just wish it was about 1 to 1.5 wider..

Se puede instalar y desinstalar varias veces. Protege a la tapa de la guitarra si una cuerda golpea cerca del puente

What you see is what you get. What is critical to note is these definitely WILL NOT protect against string dings in the event that a string slips since they are not thick enough, so it is important to still use a cardboard protector when changing strings. This will only protect against minor scratches and such on the soundboard.

This is good protection from string dings, on classical guitars! Especially, a French polished guitar. Will come off. But not real easy. May pull off polish. If ever removed. Clean or wipe off guitar real well before Application. I double the protection on mine. See no reason to ever remove

Three stars just because first try on one of my natural finish sound board didn't work. It's got to be glossy finish. By the way it is not thick enough. Recommendation is to use two on top of each other.

I wondered if I would ever find these . Yes! These are a really nice feature to add to your classical guitars. I bought a custom made classical that came with one. When I changed out the strings first time, I didn’t bother to burn a ball on the end of the first theee strings. Well, the first string popped , really loud. I looked down and what happened is the string slipped the knot in the 12 hole bridge. It left behind a large welt right where the top protector is. Get them! Period.
