UPDATE: In case someone else has issues with their claw not opening, check the claw to make sure it's all connected. I finally noticed one of the pin sized plastic part on claw was not connected through the hole (it's connected with a "plastic pin" that goes into hole on claw on 4 sides), so snapping it in did the trick. Hopefully that helps anyone with claw issues!2nd UPDATE: Both the 13 & 9 year old love this. May need a 2nd...I picked this mini claw machine up for my 13 year old daughter for her Easter basket. She is a "master" at claw machines so while this is for younger children, I thought she would get a kick out of it.Be sure to check the size as this is a mini at about 7 x 10 inches and it works! At the time of this review, it is about $14 with the coupon and such a great deal for a kids gift.

This is super cute, comes with a good amount of little prizes but it’s definitely as annoying, if not more than a regular claw machine. Imo this is better as decoration. The claw controls aren’t my favorite and the prizes easily fall out of the dispenser. In a way it’d be nice for kids but they’d probably get easily frustrated by the claw.

I really struggled with how many stars to give this because it's so cute and has so much going for it, but it just doesn't quite function well enough for me to be comfortable rating it higher. I'd give it a 3.5 if I could.PROS:- In the picture, it looks like the animals are hard plastic, so I was glad they were soft and somewhat fuzzy.- It comes with little "prizes" that are individually wrapped, and there's a great variety.- I was able to pick up the stuffed animals numerous times (but you can only put in a few to choose from, or it easily gets too full, and you can't grab anything.)- I love that you can add the stickers, ears, and side pieces (or not.)- I love that you can use batteries or the USB cord.- I like that it has a music option and that you can adjust the volume or turn it all the way off.- I think the fake coins are a cute addition, and they give you 12 of them.- It's easy to load from the front, and they had a sticker to protect the plastic so it doesn't arrive scratched.CONS:- The animals aren't the ones pictured, so there's no unicorn.- The animals that I successfully dropped into the hole never came all the way out for me, so I had to reach in and grab them. I think it's because they're so lightweight that they don't weigh enough to fall all the way out. This isn't a big deal since tiny hands should be able to easily retrieve them.- The little "prizes" aren't the highest quality, as you can see in the photo, at least one head looks like it could come off any minute, and it's not even opened yet.- The USB cord is short (and you need your own adapter to plug it into the wall.)- I don't like that the images make it look like it lights up inside because it doesn't.- As far as I can tell, the only way it works is if you put one of the cute, fake coins in, so I imagine it won't work without them, but at least they give you a lot.

Absolutely amazing! We've owned a couple of claw machines before in my family, but this one by far "takes the cake"! It is easy to use and comes with adorable prizes that are fun to catch! The only thing that is different from the advertising is that the claw machine doesn't have an internal light (not that it really needs it). Such fun to play with, I highly recommend this to anyone who likes the challenge of arcade games!
