CleanPro Tacky Mat Installation
Prepare the Area Where the Mat Will Be Placed
- Select a hard, flat, dry, smooth, and clean surface. Mats should be room temperature before installing, as cold temperatures will affect the adhesive properties.
- Clean the placement area, removing any residue and dirt from the placement area. We recommend using 70% Isopropyl Alcohol and a heavy-duty low-lint wipe or cloth to remove any previously existing adhesive or grime.
Test the Mat Placement
- Do not remove any film layers before testing the placement of the mat.
- Identify the top and bottom of the mat. The blue tab indicates the adhesive backing layer (face down). The top layer is blank with numbers in the corner (under the protective cover layer)(face up).
- Align the mat so the longest side is at a 90° angle to the door. This placement ensures three full steps for maximum dirt removal and prevents mat pull-ups.
- Make sure the mat does not interfere with any door openings or closings and ensure that the numbered pull tabs are easily accessible.
Installing the Mat
- Do not remove the top layer (yet). Starting with the blue tab, peel off the backing to expose 2-3" of the adhesive.
- Adhere the edge with the exposed adhesive to the floor, taking care to avoid air bubbles.
- Once you've ensured the adhered edge is flat and straight, slowly press the rest of the mat to the floor, working from the front edge towards the back. Use your hand, or an empty cardboard tube to press and remove any air bubbles.
- One placed, ensure the mat is firmly affixed and smooth out any air bubbles.
Removing the Top Layer
- Starting from the numbered corner, remove the top protective layer. Peel slowly with consistent tension.
- When the top layer becomes soiled, remove it to expose the next layer as needed.
- For soiled layers, peel sides and corners toward the center of the mat to prevent debris or grit from contacting clean surfaces.

- Some soft, porous, fibrous, dirty, or degraded surfaces will simply not support adhesion.
- Installing sticky mats on these types of surfaces may cause bubbles, pull-ups, and affect the adhesion between the mat and the floor.

This is a "miracle" product for any construction project that is in an occupied building. The matts are easy to use and easy to refresh. There are +/- 30 layers of tack matts so they last a long time and grab a lot of dust from people's shoes as the enter and leave the doorways. Highly recommend for any place that you're trying to control the tracking in of dirt and dust from shoes or boots.

This was a super price as you get four 30 day mats. Once you try one of these you will never be without it. Traps tons of dirt and dust that otherwise would be tracked in house. Needs a smooth floor. Even works on concrete garage floor.Have been using this product for several months. These mats work as well or better than others I have tried. I like that this is a four pack.

Work well to reduce dirt coming in. A bit hard to setup, since it requires an expensive piece of plastic to hold it. Made one from plexiglass that works OK. Sheets are very thin and get easily bent in shipping, if they leave the box vertical too long. Don't use the wrong side initially, or the one sheet that is double sided will not stick properly to the plastic sheet or the floor.

I use these in front of my cats litter box to trap litter from getting all over my house. I have been really happy with how much litter and dust they have caught. I like that I can rope a page off every day or every other day and throw it away. I like the low cost and that 30 sheets came in each package. It has really made an impact in how much litter is tracked around my home.

Way too flimsy and when you would step on it you would get stuck.. served a purpose but became a huge trip hazard. Needs a strong base so that when you lift your foot the pad does not go with you.

Don't buy the cheap copies. This mat sticks well to the floor, layers are easy to grasp and remove. Tackyness is better than generic as well.

I was a little dubious that I really needed these, but when I scrubbed my tile floors the water was always black. Now that I've seen what comes off my shoes I can't live without them! My floors and rugs are staying decidedly cleaner. I have them placed on my painted garage floor and they adhere just fine. Just make sure to remove any dust or dirt before placing in position.
