Wore these gloves for the first time while climbing a route in Yosemite last weekend. I was pretty high above my last piece (which was somewhat questionable) and then threw a hand jam which let me switch feet and finish the route. Don’t think I would have gotten the moves without these and I’m convinced these gloves saved my life

Quicker and cleaner than tape, great protection for rattley fist and bigger cracks. They do get sweaty fast and are too bulky for thin finger cracks. You do lose some feel for the rock, but I was able to hang from a fist jam with no feet without discomfort with these on

I was willing to give Climb X a chance despite their horrible reputation, but these truly are useless for crack climbing. Not only are they useless they make it harder to hold even the most basic hand jam because as soon as any moisture starts to build up between your hand and the rubber you slip. Beyond that, the rubber is so thick that you get really bad drag when trying to place a jam. Additionally, because of the thickness, you lose any type of feeling from the wall making it even harder to hold a jam. You are better off using a cheap pair of work gloves with tape on them than these.

I've owned these before, and after some time abroad returned to the US and rebought my trad gear. Sadly only used these a handful of times before the rubber ripped near the velcro...

These are fantastic for their grip while climbing. Downfall of these gloves is that the velcro strap comes undone when climbing frequently because of its design. The strap rubs against the wall and opens ALL THE TIME. I have to tape it to keep it closed.

They do exactly what they're supposed to, proect your hands. Although you do lose some sensitivity to the rock, this is something you get used to after a handful of sends
