I'm doing a corner to corner and there are lots of color changes - I had 13 going at one time! They do hold a lot of worsted weight, I'm sure tons of the DK I normally use.

I love to crochet and knit. I wanted to start a project that called for a few dozen bobbins!!! That scared me a little. So I went to various craft stores and Walmart to purchase these. I couldn't believe that nobody carried any bobbins! You would think the craft stores would carry them. So, being the Amazon lover that I am, researched for the size and quality I would need. Of course, the cost is also a factor. Clover brand is highly regarded as having quality products. I knew that they wouldn't be flimsy, which I was correct. There are 3 different colors in the package: pink, blue and white. My project calls for 3 different colors so I put the white yarn with the white ones and the other two colors are always on either the blue or pink. I purchased 6 sets of these. The price was great because it was an "add on" purchase where you have to spend $25 or more to be able to purchase. If you didn't know, you can purchase enough of the "add on" purchase to make that minimum. So I got a great deal! I have used these for a while and absolutely love them. They hold a lot of yarn where you don't have to keep refilling them and having so many tails to weave it. The 2 sides have the slits to hold the end of your yarn, which I find that wrapping it like a crazy 8 holds it best. I have had no problem whatsoever with the yarn falling off the sides! I highly recommend these for your projects. They will last for years to come!!!

Bobbins are such an incredible game changer for colorwork. I started this project doing a mix of stranded colorwork, tapestry, and intarsia, and the back is a hot mess. Not to mention that my little intarsia balls of yarn were constantly coming unraveled, tangling, and just all around making my life worse. When I switched to bobbins, it got SO much easier. And I’m glad I got these instead of trying to DIY something. I do like the shape of the Boye bobbins better, they prevent the yarn from continuing to unravel. The Clover ones are bigger, though, so they can hold more yarn, and it just takes a simple tuck to secure when you move on to the next color. These are an essential item for anyone who does intarsia!!

Nice size, small, but can get quite a bit of yarn on them. I rated sturdy a bit less, because they are made of plastic. Also value for money, seems a bit high for small pieces of plastic.

Just a little too small for what I needed. Other than that, they worked great. I was able to keep the yarn on the bobbin when not using that color and it was much easier to keep the yarn untangled than using the whole skein.

Lifelong knitter here, and on a fixed budget. Paid a bit too much, but I thought the purchase would be worth it, as these knitting bobbins are advertised as being 5 inches in height. Never saw a 5-inch Clover brand knitting bobbin of this style that was 5 inches long. CLOVER DOESN'T MAKE THIS ITEM IN 5-INCH LENGTH. NEVER DID !!!!!I should have been more careful as to the description.

J’ai acheté ces bobines pour faire du jacquard intarsia.Contrairement aux traditionnels « poissons », ces bobines ont tendance à se dérouler et il n’est pas facile de bloquer le fil. Donc les fils s’emmêlent à l’arrière du travail et c’est pénible. En plus ils sont plus larges que les poissons ce qui peut être gênant sinon à des motifs proches.Le plus, c’est qu’on peut mettre plus de laine dessus. Le moins, c’est qu’ils sont beaucoup moins pratiques.Je ne recommande pas ce produit.

Ich hab diese Spulen nun schon 2 x nachbestellt. Ist ein sehr gutes Produkt und für das Projekt, an dem ich gerade arbeite das Beste, was mir passieren konnte. Volle Punktezahl und eindeutige Kaufempfehlung. Ist auch immer gleich am nächsten oder übernächsten Tag geliefert. Top!

Love these bobbins. Can get loads of yarn on and the threads are easy to lock in and easy to release. Will buy more.
