Worked great in my car, was struggling to find anything but a ranger clutch. I know they’re “compatible†but they’re rated differently. Installed this over the weekend myself old school style no trans jack or lift. It was a bitch but it shifts like butter now. I recommend also doing your master cylinder which turned out to be a bigger problem than my clutch. Also the 5 dollar bushing for your shifter will never ever hurt

I purchased this clutch kit for my 2000 Explorer. First off, the pros. Installation was straightforward, and fitment was as expected. The clutch disc seems durable, and the pressure plate solid. My problem was with the slave cylinder. It arrived with a small leak, which made bleeding the air out of the system impossible. I was unable to diagnose this issue at first due to work obligations, so the vehicle sat awhile until my schedule cleared up. Upon discovering the leaky slave, I contacted the seller to see about a refund. They responded within 2 business days, and informed me that the order was past 3 months and therefore ineligible for a refund, fair enough. They suggested I contact the manufacturer for refund/replacement which I did. Clutchmax customer service was easy enough to contact through a quick Google search, and they also responded in a timely fashion. Because the clutch kit was purchased through the Amazon seller, clutch max would not reimburse me the money I spent on the new slave I purchased from the local oreilly, and the seller wouldn’t cover it because the purchase was out of 3 month warranty. Totally my fault, I should have tried to do something sooner and maybe the end result would have been different. My advice to anyone considering this kit is to go forward with the purchase, it really is a great kit, however if you do encounter any issues be prepared to resolve them immediately through the seller instead of resorting to the local parts store as I did or you’ll be out extra cash replacing the defective part(s) you may receive

I’ve had this installed less than a month and the throwout bearing Is garbage. Slave cylinder looked generic as it was.

Bought this for my 1999 Ford Explorer praying it fit. Not only did it fit perfectly, it was a super easy install and works better than factory.
