Excellent map info. But having hard time getting map up dates as advertised. Customer service is slow to answer questions been waiting seven days 😔.

I love the way it looks and it’s very easy to use. The only thing I don’t like is that every time you turn on your unit it has to download. It only takes about 40 seconds.

After purchasing this C-Map Reveal Chip, I discovered that none of the nice overlay features such as SatView, Aerial Photo and Contour Shading, etc are available on the Cruise Series Simrads… only basic features are available, the same as for Navionics. This should be better explained in Simrad advertising but it’s not really mentioned. So the chip is likely good but the application must be verified. Returned same day.

This is a powerful chart with a lot of data, however, its not *fully* compatible with some of the most popular lowrance units... custom depth shading is not an option on ANY hook series, yet lowrance really doesn't do a great job telling us that. They are more than happy to advertise features that don't work on all units, then say "whoopsy, you should have read this fine print we have on one section of our website... or buy ANOTHER chartplotter...."This chart itself is great, and if I ever DO upgrade I'll actually be able to use this chart for what i bought it for.... custom depth shading.....

I had a question and called Lowrance tech support. After I educated the Tech rep who had to keep researching my question, she told me, after almost an hour, that the C-Map Reveal is NOT compatible with Hook Reveal. She said that only the C-Map Discovery is compatible. I could find NO Discovery maps of the US lakes and rivers. I have used the C-Map reveal that I purchased, and it has some functions, but probably not all that would be on a "compatible unit." The info says that the map is compatible with Lowrance units but does not specify any restrictions. I bought the Lowrance Hook Reveal specifically because of the C-Maps that cover Alabama. I hope that I can talk to someone who knows the facts, but the person I talked with was not fully informed. I could find no way to talk to Amazon Customer Service, and NONE of the auto options would give me a way to fix the problem. I am very disappointed with Lowrance, C-Map, and Amazon over this issue.

I had to buy this card because I moved to South Carolina. This has incredible detail and contour lines. It will be a useful tool to use in tournaments.
