I had a unique project where a large chamfered edge was needed, but no tool other than a router would have done the job. I was a bit nervous affixing this CMT bit to my router (I actually had to modify the base to allow it to fit), but with cutting lubricant this bit performed flawlessly. CMT makes a fantastic cutting tool - I worked the bit down from a small chamfer to using the whole cutting edge on approximately 20 feet of Walnut with no burning, chattering or inconsistent cuts. The bit is well balanced and of very high quality.Big fan of this bit, and when I can afford a complete bit collection I'll be stocking up on CMT's product line. Outstanding!

As with all CMT bits, I was not disappointed. Perfectly clean 45-degree chamfer. For best performance, make sure you lubricate the bearing before each use, and clean the bit with a good cleaner after each use. CMT makes a good bit cleaner.

Leaves a really great surface. I do wish CMT had this bit without the bearing. That would be better for the CNC.

This is a big bit -- decided to use my Shaper rather than a router. It was a little intimidating to fire up this large bit, but it worked like a champ. I fed the material slowly and it made a glass like cut in hard maple.

I bought this to cut a 20mm HD worktop for my daughter who wanted a waterfall end panel for her kitchen I was fitting. Whilst it's quick to use a circular saw to cut a 45deg bevel the fact is that it's going to be nigh on impossible to get a perfect 45 over any length unless you are in a factory with a large scale CNC type machine. Thus a router bit already machined to a precise angle is the solution.And this worked perfectly. The angle was exact and when I joined the two boards there was no gap whatsoever across a 900mm join. Fantastic.Overall, I can't recommend this enough.
