The green drive board in the above picture is the spindle drive board after removing the black shell, and the black one is our other GRBL control board.
This brushless spindle motor does not need additional power supply, you just need to connect it according to the above wiring diagram,and connect to the spindle port of the CNC control board to provide 24V power to run this spindle.

Okay, so I have a cloned 3018 system I've Frankenstein'd into a 3040 with upgraded rails, bushing, and everything, and was still having SERIOUS issues with chatter no matter the speed or bit quality or motor. Dropped this bad boy in and OMG!!! Night and day results, even with bits I thought were maybe dull because I used them already but weren't actually. Soooo much quieter and the quality of the cut is right where it should be. Wish I had gotten this from the start instead of cheapening out on the 20,000 rpm motor for twenty bucks (you know who you are, and you should be ashamed). Finally feel like I can start doing quality work and generate some nice projects.
