Thanks to this comb I have been able to vanquish hundreds of fleas and destroy multiple kingdoms they had established on the neighborhood cats! The small bristle gaps lets you grab even the most skinniest of fleas along with their eggs and is easy to clean after each use. Since the comb is made of plastic it's best to comb out any fur tangles with a regular comb before switching over, it prevents breakage and lets for better use. The cat's don't mind it much either and enjoy their treatments, the fleas? Not so much. I'll be recommending these to fellow stray caretakers in the future.

It did what it's expected to do. Just like the old lice combs, you run it through your pets hair and it can catch fleas if it happens to comb through one. Don't expect it (or any comb) to fix your flea problem, but it can help, give peace of mind or help you figure out if your cat has fleas.It's sturdy, as far as flea combs go, and cheap. I'd recommend it if you're looking for a basic flea comb.

I've been using these Safari flea combs on my kitties for several years. Shifted to buying them via Amazon after the pet/farm supply store where I'd been getting them doubled the price. The larger-toothed side is no use to me, but the smaller-toothed side gets even very small fleas. The combs do eventually wear out -- after a few weeks of use teeth begin to break off, the gap gets wider and wider, and the comb finally needs to be replaced; but I feel I get my money's worth, at least at two bucks per.Four stars rather than five because this particular seller (Pattern, formerly iServe) unaccountably took twelve days before shipping the combs -- Amazon must have changed its policies for that to even be acceptable. I wasn't in any particular hurry for them, but still ...

I just rescued 2 flea infested kittens who are to young to receive flea medicine. Dawn baths 2xs a wk, combing them several times a day. Bedding change everyday, vacuuming, etc.. Thought I had them flea free, until I used this comb. Gulp!! Game changer!! This comb works like no other. I couldn't believe the fleas, and flea dirt it got. I will never use anything other than Safari combs again.There is a down fall to this comb. When catching live fleas you have to use your fingers to get them out of the comb. When doing so I bent two teeth on the comb. I still recommend this comb as it really does get everything.

It works, lots of fleas caught, but as others have noted the teeth do bend/break quite easily even when using gently, slowly, and combing on a horizontal plane.

This one has a smaller size on the back and works better than the "standard" size on my other flea combs.

I bought two of these combs from the same manufacturer and although the other one I bought has metal wires this one has MUCH more coverage and it makes combing much quicker! It’s also so easy to clean as far as grooming tools go! The length is great! Thickness of wires is thin enough to catch everything!
