i bought the mounting bracket to get my detector back up and running. the original bracket had lost one of the suction cups, and it only had two to begin with. I have a ESD-9110 Cobra, which is almost like 15 years old :) but it works, and the bracket works, i read some reviews saying the bracket was flimsy, or the metal bent easily, i would disagree with that. I did not find the metal flimsy,it bent when i needed it to, but not so easily that it bent beyond where I needed it. having 3 suction cups is awesome, the detector barely vibrates, feels a lot more secure. Highly recommend this bracket and the 3 suction cups, and it fit my 15 year old radar detector

Suction cups work really well, without being too much of a pain to take off if needed. The actual metal bracket is a little flimsy, but not enough to cause problems.

On my original Cobra radar detector, I removed the two suction cups and drilled my plexiglass motorcycle windshield to permanently mount the radar mount (with rubber washers on inside and outside and stainless washers, bolt and nut on outside of that). I hated taking this on and off to use in the car as well. This gives me a second mount so I can leave my first one dedicated to the motorcycle. This is better than the original due to the third suction cup in this design and there is less movement to the radar detector on bumps. Not cheap, but more effective and the only place I could find a replacement mount at a reasonable price.

i have a passport 9500ix and i lost my mount when i bought a new car. this new mount is good and strong and works for me. i only rated it a three because, in order for me to use it i had to take the bittom sucker off and use the top two. in order to attach the detector i have to fit my fingers underneath the tabe and pushed out from the windshield. once mounted it holds fine. but te third suction cup is not feasible

I have bought windshield suction cups in the Past but I have to admit these things by far are the best ones I’ve ever owned. Even the temperatures of -5 degrees F it will stay stuck to your windshield they don’t shift they don’t move they don’t work and they sure don’t drop or released from the windshield on their own accord eve D it will stay stuck to your windshield they don’t shift they don’t move they don’t work and they sure don’t drop or released from the windshield on their own accord. If you are looking for a windshield mount for a radar detector these are by far your best choice no even stay stuck on dirt or very rough roads

So my biggest peeve is that many devices that attach to your windshield have VERY poor suction power. I live in Canada ,and in below zero conditions these suction cups DON'T suck, lol. This item has 3 cups instead of the 2 cup type that came with my radar detector. It has better holding power, but after 10 minutes on my window it still fell off. I guess I will have to be careful of how I speed on winter roads now, sigh...

It is essential to having a radar detector! In +40 degrees to -40 degrees, it doesn’t let go. Even when going over potholes and railroad tracks, doesn’t loose suction! Love it
