This egg carrier is heavy duty and will protect your eggs when packing for camping or a weekend get away where you want to cook breakfast for your family. The hinges won't last forever but these are not for everyday use. It does keep from breaking the eggs when packed in an ice chest and the top will lock down securely so eggs don't fall out.

Sturdy storage container. It latches securely and won't pop open in the car on the way to your picnic or camp ground. The material from which this container is made would seem sturdy enough to protect your eggs during a rough ride. I did crack the shell on an egg that was not seated properly in the container when I closed it but that was my fault. The container holds eggs securely so a snug fit is part and parcel of getting your hard boiled eggs wherever you're going in one piece. For those of you looking for a storage container for eggs that won't travel any farther than from fridge to counter top, this may not be the best choice. First, although the container latches securely, I'm just not sure how long the thin material that latches the container closed will last if you're opening and closing it every day. I've only been using this container for a few weeks so I cant speak to the durability of the latches. The second issue relates to the first. As I said, the container latches securely. The latches are situated between the ends of the plastic handle. The container does not open easily and I find myself splitting the two halves of the handle (half attached to the top of the container and half attached to the bottom) to get enough leverage to get the container open. I'm not sure how long the handle will last being used this way, especially if you open and close the container every day.

I really wanted to take unrefrigerated, farm fresh eggs backpacking with me since they would not spoil. I've tried the powdered eggs and although they are decent, they still are not fresh eggs. The eggs do tend to rattle a little bit in the case (depending on the size of the eggs) so I ended up putting a cotton ball on the end of each egg to make for a snug fit. There are plastic flanges where the eggs would touch the top or bottom of the container which helps with a little bit of cushioning so with that and the cotton ball, I felt they might stand a chance of making it. I did place the container in a gallon zip lock bag just in case the eggs cracked. I carried my backpack normally, my only precaution was not dropping or slamming it down when taking it off. And, the next morning my boys and I had fresh eggs on the trail! This egg carrier is super cheap and it worked perfectly fine for my purposes.

I hard-boil eggs in batches weekly, and bought this as a way to easily store them (and keep them distinguishable from our raw eggs). The six-count compartment is perfect for my needs. Although I'm not worried about damaging a hard-boiled egg, I appreciate that the construction of this case carefully cradles eggs in a way that minimizes jostling; I would confidently store raw eggs in this. My eggs tend to be on the larger side of "medium" to the larger side of "Large," and all have fit very well.The case is made of sturdy plastic. The case easily snaps shut and remains secure at all times. It takes a little bit of effort to open; not so much as to be a hassle, but just enough so that you can be confident it won't spring open on you.Since this case never leaves my refrigerator, I followed another reviewer's tip and snipped off the carrying handle, so that it would fit more snugly in my fridge. Even if I decide to go traveling with six eggs, I doubt that's all I would be carrying, so I don't think the handle is necessary.All in all, this product does its job well: safely and compactly store six eggs. If this is a need you have, I fully endorse this product!

This does well holding and protecting the eggs. Unfortunately it is nerve wracking to open it without eggs flying everywhere.

I paid way too much for this product, but I thought it would be good as it is claimed to be specially for camping. I wanted to store some eggs safely during my next bicycle tour. How disappointed I was, to see that it is just impossible to put 6 eggs in this container. And if I select the smallest eggs that I had available, they still touch eachother: guaranteed to break!This is only useful if you want to take 6 SMALL eggs. Not useful for normal sized eggs. This is a rip-off! Do not buy!

Nos poules pondent de très gros oeufs .. qui y tiennent sans sa casser.Pour les oeufs plus standard, tout est prévu avec des picots de maintient en bas des rangements.Ces picots sont souples et ne cassent pas les oeufs qui s'y appuient. Très satisfaits
