Love this coffee maker! I had a french press style in the past, but im glad i switched to this style! Much easier to dispose of the grounds, and it makes just as good of a brew! Glass on the jar is nice and thick, and the seal is excellent. Makes very tasty coffee and the size is great. Really pleased!

This is exactly what I was expecting from the listing. The glass is sturdy and even. It sets nicely on the counter and doesnt wobble. The insert is way bigger than I anticipated. It is perfect! Personally I will try it this summer for sun tea. I think this would be great to set out to get some sun with some loose leaf tea in the insert! The lid closes and opened easily both the flip top and screwing on and off.

This is well made and gets 5 stars... It turns out I don't like cold-brew coffee, but that doesn't change my experience with this product. The jar is thick glass, strong and uniformly blown. The lid/handle screws on tightly and does not leak. Even when full, I can carry & pour by the handle; it doesn't flex or feel unstable. The strainer fits tightly and has very small mesh. I had ZERO grounds in my coffee when I was using it.I ended up taking the strainer out and just using it as a water pitcher. It looks very nice on my counter. I primarily use it refill the Keurig, since it's not near the sink. Filling & carrying this pitcher is much easier than filling the oddly shaped, open top reservoir and carrying it across the room.Review for: Cold Brew Coffee Maker 64 Oz Mason Jar Cold Brew Pitcher With Strainer Half Gallon Wide Mouth Glass Iced Coffee Maker With Spout Lids 2 Quart Glass Pitcher For Fridge, Sun Tea, Lemonade, Cold BrewASIN: B0DDPKW7MQ

I've been using this pitcher for a few batches of cold brew Japanese mugicha (a barley tea) and also for cold brew coffee. You can see, there are markings on the side for both metric and imperial measures. It can fit about 18000ml, or 8 cups. (it seems to be the max capacity to the neck, but realistically if you brew something then there is some volume reduced, as you displace the liquid with the filter, grounds, etc...)Mugicha typically comes in a largish tea bag type package, you can just drop in and brew. The longer you steep, the stronger the tea gets. I use this jar without the filter installed to brew, then just fish out the bags and store / serve from the pitcher.I used the filter with coarse ground coffee, and it did a good job keeping the grounds out of the final brew. There is a little bit of sediment that passed through, but I imagine that is the bits of coffee that ended up a bit more like powder when ground. I use a burr grinder, and it does well for fine grinds, but for coarser grinds I think it tends to have a bit more variance in the particle size I end up with. (On the whole, a coarse grind, but I end up with a bit of finer ground bits.) I think using any simple strainer to remove the smallest particles before dumping into the filter probably will help a lot.Probably the biggest issue with this set is the length of the filter. It's quite difficult to clean the inside bottom of the filter - I imagine if you brew tea leaves with this set, then you will eventually end up with tea stains that are hard to remove towards the bottom of the filter. I think the filter could probably be half the length and still do a proper brewing job, and be easier to clean.

This cold brew maker is great: a no-frills functional large mason jar with plastic lid, silicon seal, and double-walled fine-mesh strainer. This is the easiest to use as a simple self-explanatory product. At 64 ounces this can get heavy for those with wrist pain, but that’s the only downside. The taste is great as there is little contact with plastic. The spout in the lid seals quite tightly though there is no silicon making it air-tight.You likely need a bottle brush to thoroughly clean the strainer. I got this device for another half gallon mason jar and to cold infuse herbal teas, especially mints and hibiscus. An overnight infusion of herbs can be delicious on a hot day. Of course, this strainer leaves plenty of room to brew a cold-brew concentrate, though maybe not as concentrated as the toddy systems. I also love these for fruit-infused waters, which can be so tasty! A good choice.

I've used this for tea and coffee now. The strainer goes in the mason jar, then add loose tea or coffee, then add water and the lid. Let it sit until you have brewed the strength you want. It is an easy way to cold brew.

Worked great for its purpose at first, but there must be a tiny crack in the glass because it will slowly leak in the refrigerator.

For years, I have happily used my Dash Cold Brew Coffee Machine. But I thought I would give non electric method a try. Happy to say, after following the directions included, it makes good cold brew coffee, for a fraction of the cost. Of course, the huge difference being - TIME. I like that I have the option of both choices. I use store bought ground decaf. I don't grind my own beans. Steeped for 24 hours on the countertop and all done. I make a concentrate and then dilute it. The metal filter is excellent, no worries about grounds getting through the mesh. There are actually two methods given for cold brew in the instructions. This first test was using the filter. I like the all in one idea of making the coffee in the jar, removing the filter and then having the jar full of coffee, ready to serve for the next day or two. I have not tried tea yet. Get an extra 2 quart mason jar and keep a steady supply. The lid and gaskets are good and secure. I recommend as a non electric alternative.
