Way better than the piece of crap office embossing labelers.

The plastic raised letters on the underside of the wheel that make the impressions in the tape don't all work very well. In particular, the "U" looks like a "J", the "Q" just looks like some dots, and the "P" and "E" both also have issues where it seems misaligned, like the left side of the character isn't printing. The included picture is what it looks like when I try to write "QUINTUPLET".The lever bottoms out with a relatively small amount of force, it appears that the mechanism does not allow you to press harder to try to adjust for incomplete prints. I have not tried all the letters, but I've seen enough to know this device won't work for me. I will be attempting to return this label printer.I was hoping there would be a modern embossing printer that worked as well as the one my parents had when I was a kid, and I thought that getting something meant for lab use might be the right direction to go in, but it looks like I'll just be looking for a vintage one.

I've used it once to make several labels and it worked well. On the downside, it feels flimsy and appears to be an almost all plastic design. I have some doubts about how long it will last. Hopefully the stamps aren't plastic, but I can't tell. The wheel includes six non-English characters (vowels with umlauts, etc.)... I would prefer more punctuation choices or maybe some Greek letters instead.I appreciate the two rolls of included tape, which are thick and stick well. The unit I received had some dust and powdery white stuff on it. And no directions were included. I suspect it's not really new.

This item is easy to use but only last 2 days… I did about 7 labels daily

The unit is very comfortable to use and handle. The letters print very clearly compared to my previous Dymo Organizer Xpress Pro, although I didn't have any complaints regarding the quality of my previous label maker. The letters in comparison are slight skinnier. Dymo on top (Black); Cole Parmer on bottom (Blue). My Dymo label maker broke so I was looking for something more durable. I did used to have the issue of some letters printing too close or on top of each other - this label maker seems to not have that issue. The letters are consistently spaced as long as you press completely for the letter, a half press gives you space bar. For some reason, the numbers start at 2. So, I use the letter "I" for 1 and "O" for 0. Not sure if that was the original intention, but I would have rather had the numbers together. It's a waste to have some odd letters on the dial like A with two dots over, etc. As other reviewers mention also, it is missing a forward and backward slash. The cutter is on the front - used as a lever. I feel like i have to feed a little extra tape on either end, which is slightly wasteful of the tape. It's a little tricky feeding the tape in, sometimes it doesn't catch well. I find it easiest to feed the tape all the way through the machine until I see the tail - it should have no resistance going through. I tried the Dymo label replacement cartridge and it works well.

There are letters which do not show up when pressed, making this unit useless. I wish I could return it, but my return window closed already. Overall pretty bummed.

I cannot squeeze hard enough to have clear results. I cannot recommend this product.

Product received was NOT of the quality advertise. Letters would print off balance and could not get it to print properly. The brand label was NOT real.

Worked great for labeling the conections in my milling machines electrical box.
