We attended a racing event where lawn chairs were not allowed. I bought these to circumvent that rule and they were perfect. These are lightweight, you can carry them like a purse over your shoulder or cross body. They open end close easily and are the next best thing to having an actual chair.Great value and do exactly what they are meant to do.

I keep this in the car to take with me when I take my grandson to the beach or the park. I had one before this but it was not as robust as this one and eventually broke. This one is a little heavier but much more robust which is good as I am a big guy.It is not the height of relaxation, but it serves as a convenient stool. Just be sure you have all the elements locked into place before you sit on it.Recommended

I saw some convention goers rocking these in lieu of lawn or camping chairs and had to give them a try. I absolutely love them.I have a camping chair with the rod frame that breaks down with a bungee running through the rods to keep them together, and a canvas seat that gets put over it for sitting, plus a canvas bag to put it all in when not in use. That chair takes a few minutes to put together, and I end up sitting low to the ground, too. Getting out of it is getting more challenging with my deteriorating knees. These collapsible stools are ready in seconds, are high enough that getting up doesn't stress my knees as much, and is a self-contained piece, no stow bag or assembly needed. I also can't believe the weight capacity is reported as 400 pounds. I have no intention of testing it, but that doubles the capacity of the camping chair.

This is a great small stool once you can lock it open. If you have never owned one before it will take you a few minutes of twisting before you get used to getting it unlocked, open, and locked in place. The spring inside is very tight so don't be too startled if it snaps shut on you the first couple of uses.Update: Mine critically failed yesterday when used at an outdoor event. Dropped me straight onto the ground and came apart. Thank goodness I had not suited yet because that could of hurt me more than embarrassment I got along with a slight bruise from the fall. It says rated for 400, definitely does not hold a 390. I'm just glad I was sitting in a grassy location because if I had sat where I was thinking of on the asphalt this failure & fall could have hurt a lot more. Photos shared is from me putting it as back into one piece (kinda) so I can transport it home. All in all sturdiness is not for over 350 pounds, or atleast the one I received. It is lightweight and easy to carry until you have a critical failure.

I keep one in my backpack when walking cheer competition venues! 20K plus steps while at Cheersport meeting teams and waiting in areas with no seating… I was so grateful for this collapsible seat. It helped slow my feet pain throughout the busy competition weekend.
