While it might not be the most expensive (nor the cheapest) wax money can buy, it possesses a HUGE bang for the buck.At room temperature, it is kind of like a soft paste - not a liquid, not quite a paste. It obviously changes consistency with temperature. Making sure it is shaken up well is important, as there are more than one chemical at work here. In order to do this, you need to run the bottle under warm/hot water for a little while, to turn the paste into a liquid, and then shake it to get that smooth, thick, liquid consistency we're looking for.Once you get to that point, use it sparingly - I recommend dedicating this wax to a single applicator. I prefer the microfiber applicators from Chemical Guys over the foam applicators you can purchase. This stuff lasts a long time, so if it can lasts months on your car in the elements in a micro thin film, think about how long it's going to last on your applicator pad! It has a pleasant chemical waxxy-like smell. No frills here, it smells exactly like what it is. Hardcore wax.Whatever it is you're waxing, be sure to use a clay bar to ensure a proper, smooth, decontaminated surface. This stuff wipes on super, super smooth, almost like spreading vaseline. It's wonderful to work with, and spreads easily. This means that less is more - I figure since I did a full size car, including wheels, and glass, and yet the bottle looks as if it hasn't even been opened yet, this stuff will last at least 50 full size rigs before you need to worry about purchasing more. And that, is something I like! The nice thing about this is that it isn't one of these off-the-shelf products you can find at . If they did, it'd all fly off the shelves and it would be MONTHS before people came back for more. It lasts a long time on the vehicle, so long as the paint is in good shape before you apply it. The cleaner, smoother the paint - the better, longer lasting the shine will be.People rave about this everywhere you go, automotive wise. It's especially popular in fall and winter, because it compliments the rainy season well. It beads water like there's no tomorrow just by itself. And since it isn't one of those products that last about a week until the next wash, it'll keep protecting your paint through the entire season. Spring time will be pretty much pure awesomesauce when you go to give your car that detail you look forward to, and your time is cut in half during the wash process because it'll probably still be working great.Do yourself a favor and learn how to properly wax your car. If you're a nut that just loads the wax on until your car looks like the lady friend coming out of the day spa waring a mud mask? You need a little help.Wax should go on super thin. Using more product than is necessary is simply a waste of product. You should only see a thin, light haze once the product starts to dry. Use little to no pressure when applying, just enough to spread it out over the paint. Work in circles to ensure a good, even coat. Give it 15-20 minutes for the product to 'soak in' and bond with the paint, and dry - it's easier to remove this way, and yields the best result. Some people like to call it quits after you remove the wax, but to really give your paint that 'pop' most people look for (especially pearls & metallic paints), use either a quick detail spray such as Chemical Guys P40 or V07 as a follow up after removing your wax. This not only gives a bit more shine, it also adds another layer of protection that will lengthen the life span of your finish.I would recommend Collinite to anybody looking for a durable, high endurance wax that is easy to apply and practically fool-proof. It is maybe a 7/10 in the 'shine' department, so if you're looking for a top of the line shine, expect to pay top of the line money. But by all means put it over the 845 so when the super spendy stuff wears off, you still have the long lasting protection from Collinite.5 out of 5 stars because it's awesome, and everybody loves it - especially myself, since I'm the one that actually uses it. No instruction manual or Master's degree required.Enjoy!

I'm pretty retentive about my vehicles and cleaning them, hopefully, you can see in the pics. I was turned on to this combo (this with Jescar Power Lock) from a detailing friend of mine. I did some research, watched some videos, and thought id roll the dice. Glad I did. I started small with my son's car (the black dodge) I wanted to test it on black...easy on, easy off, if done in the right conditions. No swirls or leftover residue. Super thick when you get it so lay it in some warm water for a few minutes to break up the carnauba and then shake the heck out of it, often. It's a screw-on top so like others have said get a squirt bottle if that's what you are used to. I used it straight from the bottle. Moved over to my Ram and the same results...silky smooth shine. I applied a nice coat before winter here in Illinois and it lasted most of the winter...this spring I stripped it all off and started again. these pics are from Last fall right before winter. I done both of my daily rider show bikes in the combo as well. Perfect results. 5 stars from me and really glad I found the combo! Try the Jescar here with it and the applicators here

My son-in-law recommended this wax, we both take pride in our cars appearance and spend considerable time/effort cleaning them. So far, the best thing I can say about this wax is it’s durability. S-I-L used it on daughters pale green 2016 Subaru (non-metallic) and it is still beading water 4-months later. I used it on 2010 red Honda (non-metallic) that we tow behind our motorhome. After 3-mo and several trips covered in road grime, a simple wash brings back a shine. I found it is VERY important to keep this wax well shaken, and it certainly works better when applied in warmer temperatures. I apply with a random orbital machine and foam wax pad which allows a thin, even spread of the wax and easy removal of residue after the wax flashes with a microfiber towel.Update: since original post Aug. 2018, I have continued to use/compare Collinite on 2 cars and a Motorhome. Note the MH has a 4-color swirl full-body paint job popular today, no gel-coat, no decals. Colors are black, white, gold & cream. Cars are both non-metallic red, clear coated; age of vehicles range from 2010-2013, all factory original paint, all reasonably cared for over the years as daily drivers. As previously stated, it is VERY IMPORTANT that Collinite Wax be thoroughly mixed by warming gently and then shaking wildly. As with most polymer products, surface prep prior to application is paramount; these are NOT cleaners or polishes. They are surface coatings. I apply with a random orbital polisher, and very little goes a long way. Cure time is about 10-15 minutes outside of direct sun, about 70-degree temp. Removal with Griots micro-fiber cloths is easy, followed by a hand buffing with another plush micro-fiber towel. Does not leave white residue on black plastic, but I have noted on some plastics it leaves a “polished†appearance. I cannot recommend using Collinite on glass; RejeX or Griots polymers are excellent on glass.Summary: I find Collinite to leave a water beading finish that lasts 4-6 months on a garage kept car. The shine lasts 2-3 months if you’re not real picky. I still have a slight preference for RejeX polymer due to its shine and ability to use on glass. But the Collinite is, for me, more durable. I will continue to use Collinite as a good value, better than average durability, reasonable shine.

A little bit goes a very long way with this wax/sealant. It is easy to apply and easy to buff off and the protection lasts a good 6 months on my car and RV. The only challenge is that if it is cool, the wax hardens in the bottle and is impossible to use. It only works when it is >70 degrees.

Applied this wax to my car but I do have to warn you to make sure you have shaken the bottle thoroughly because the contents do tend to separate over a period of time. Once you have done that, do not apply large amounts on the sections. Use a very thin coat and do not apply it in the sun. Be sure to apply only to one section then let dry and wipe it off. Continue to do that until the car is completed. The shine is very good and to date, it has held up over two washes. I recommend it when it is used properly

Brilliant product. I had tried autogylm, meguiars. However this was the easiest to apply and got a mirror like finish.Tip. Pre Soak the bottle in hot water and shake well.

After a quick and efficient delivery I put the Collinite Wax to work. First I prepped the car with a pre-wax cleaner (using Collinite 840) to ensure a totally clean surface ready for the wax. I then applied Collinite wax to the body and wheels of the car - wheels had just been refurbished by The Wheel Specialist so look better than new and I wanted to ensure a good layer of protection for them. Firstly the wheels - they came up a treat and look amazing. They now have a deep shine and are smooth to the touch, cleaning them will be as simple as wiping with a wet cloth to remove surface dirt and brake dust. The wax finish will ensure none of the brake dust attaches to the wheel and spoils the beautiful paint finish. Then I applied the wax to the car. Its a big car so this was not the work of a moment but it didn't take as long as I thought it would. The wax is so easy to apply and shine that I was able to do this first thing in the morning the day after applying the pre-wax cleaner, as the weather didn't allow me to complete the job in one afternoon. I had the waxing done in no time and the car now looks great, better than ever. There is a deep finish to the paint that makes it shine in all types of light. Went out for dinner with friends and on the way back to the car under street lighting people thought I had a brand new car and when I saw how good it looked with that deep finish and shine it definitely made me feel good about my recent purchase and also has given me a new found fondness for a car that I really like already but now also looks the way I want it to. As I'll be keeping this car for a another year or two before I change it I'm pleased that I can maintain its looks and even improve them in this way.
