MAKE SURE the switch is correctly in the "ON" position, check by covering the solar panel with your hands,see if light turns on automatically.
Install the solar product correctly where it can get direct sunlight.
Leave the switch to "ON" position.
Select an outdoor location which AWAY FROM OTHER LIGHT SOURCES AT NIGHT, such as street lights.Or It may not turn on automatically at night. The light sensor is very sensitive and make sure the solar panel is not expose in light.
Duration of light depends on solar product's level of sunlight exposure, geographical locations, weather conditions and the length of daytime.

I only gave this a three star rating on durability because my experience with these types of wind chimes is the solar panel gets wiped out by our very intense Idaho sunshine. Every one of these devices has only lasted 2-3 years because the solar panel gets so faded out it stops functioning. I have tried new rechargeable batteries thinking maybe they were the issue but that has not fixed the issue. A bit disappointed that a device intended to be out in the sun does not hold up to that environment. I just figure for less than $20 I just replace them when they stop working. I do not leave them out all year as well but only put them out in late Spring until the weather gets cold in the Fall. They are very nice when they are working and that makes them worth the cost.

This wind chime is a delightful concept. It won't catch any wind as I have it in a skylight that I don't open. However, I loved the idea of the color changing aspect. Unfortunately, right now the tree that overhangs it still has leaves but, when they fall, which won't be long, I'll be able to enjoy it in all its glory. I did get a sampling of its capabilities before I hung it so I know the enjoyment I have to which to look forward.

I gave this as a gift because I had two products already. Unfortunately, my two didn't last as long as I thought they would. I hope my friends have better luck.

It’s very pretty….but it died after 2 weeks. So I unscrewed the thing on a hunch. There’s this green battery in it. Jus switch it out and it works like a dream. I don’t have mine outside, mines in my reading nook so there’s not too much stress on it string wise.

I gave this product 1 Star I couldn’t figure out how to write the company directly to allow them the opportunity to rectify the issues I had with this wind chime unfortunately, so here I am. I bought this product and received it May 28th, 2020. On August first the solar wind chimes just quit working. So after reading other reviews I guess in my experience it lasted longer then the others. I will not repurchase this wind chimes I will find a different company and read the reviews very closely since I will have to buy a solar wind chime to replace this one.

I love these color changing "wind chimes". They have been a great performer in partial shade. Would have been far cooler if they only changed in the color blue to match the plastic stars. Well packaged and instructions were enclosed. I think, a good value for the money even if you only get 2 seasons out of them. Time will tell how hearty they are.
