This style is designed for auto tools. It connects and disconnects easily, they are solidly built and light weight. I have used these for some time now, and will not go back to the normal style air tool connector. 5-stars.

I hesitated to buy these because some reviewers had trouble with them leaking, apparently. I wanted to separate my oiled lines from the dry air lines, but also wanted to get rid of the incessant air leaks from those cheap HFT fittings. I bought red and blue of these in automotive and industrial style connectors, replaced everything, and in the three months of use so far I have not had a single leak from the connectors. I’d definitely buy these again. In fact, I already did buy more of them.The colors are brilliant and have not scratched off or faded as yet, but they also are used indoors and not in sunlight.

Have used most of them already, quality is good.

I put these on my new compressor/air hose reel installation in my garage and I think these are a good value for the home garage. The kit itself has lots of connectors, although at most you're only going to need one male & one female (on the threaded part) quick connect. I would have preferred they drop two of them and replace them with the male quick connect, but this is not a major complaint.I used Teflon tape when I installed the threaded ends, and that allowed us to tighten them enough so they didn't leak air.They are aluminum, and that's good and bad; aluminum is cheaper and lighter, but it may not be as sturdy (time will tell). On the other hand, I don't think you'll get a 14 piece connector brass set for this price either.On the quick connect, these need to break in for a few days, but once they do, connections are much easier. I have not had an issue with leaks on the quick connect, at least yet.I've run out of the male quick connects because I had a bunch of air tools, and two-packs are available, but as it turns out its a better value to just order a 2nd set of this same kit.[Be aware that Legacy has at least two other "colors", which are designed to prevent you from mixing types of tools, which could be a help if you want to keep certain tools used in certain environments, e.g. Only use automotive tools with one compressor, only use paint guns with another compressor]

I had used just standard coupling for my air hook up's and always had leaks. After purchasing this kit, I changed out the standard ones with these and now have no leaks. They work well and are well worth the money.

Fantastic connector system. The quality of materials is second to none and the workmanship is first rate. You need to replace the old funky brass and steel connectors because these fit each other so precisely that they do not fit into the old junk you may have now, besides even if they did fit, it would not make sense because the purpose is to have dedicated oiled and dry lines of differing colors that do not fit together so you can't make a mistake if you are not paying attention, they don't let you put your blow gun on your lubricated line and blow oil all over the surface you are about to paint. The picture shows the printing on them saying PAT PEND, but the ones I got say PATENTED so they must have gotten the patent granted meaning they are different enough from the rest of the fittings on the market to be awarded a patent. And in this case different means better, they fit tighter, leaks are a thing of the past, and they barely flex at all when compared to the older type that flex and leak when stressed.

These look nice and seem to work well initially.However, after just a short time of usage, I am concerned that these will not last. Also, their claim on these is that they are color-coded and easy to match. In practice, using anodized aluminum isn't really that great as the coating wears off VERY quickly.

I really like these colored connectors. I ordered two sets because I was tired of mismatched sets on my air tools, compressor, and hoses. I like the color and now I just plumbed my garage using copper and 5 drops for compressed air all with these quick connects. I also added a hose reel with Goodyear hose and these have simplified my life. They don't leak and are easy to use. I have them on all my tools and I have compressed air on my truck all using these fittings. They work as good as they look. I'm happy!

I don't have my own shop but i am professional mechanic by trade so i have my own hoist where i work which I only use during the day but sometimes when i am off others with come by and use my hoist and leave my air hose on the floor. I like to have my air hose clean and neatly rolled up every time when it's not in use or done for the day. Instead of buying a camera to attach to my box which was more expensive and not allowed i wanted to find a set that i was only able to use on my connections for my air tools. A couple bays down from me a co-worker has something similar but not colorful but only he was able to use it and when someone tries to connect their equipment. Nope try again because the connector won't fit. LOVE IT. I wanted a set because i wanted to convert my air hose with the fitting and all my air tools not having to buy each piece individually which could get costly. I looked around but found nothing and came here and found this manufacturer with their color design. After much research i didn't know the difference between blue and red which was a tossup because i didn't know which one to buy. After doing more research i found both red and blue where suitable for construction, trades, and industrial so what is the difference? Well with even more research i finally found out than the blue and red connections are different. Both of them are 1/4'' adapters but the blue one is Type C and red is Type D. Difference? It is all in the connector (the one connecting to the impact, or tool of choice.) The blue one is a design that only use can use with the blue connector. It's a different style than most are known to using in automotive shops however the red one is the one we all are known to using so the red one is the one that is compatible with most airline hose couplers than you can buy anywhere. However there is a problem, which ever one you buy blue or red they CANNOT be interchanged so you cannot use a blue adapter in a red coupler and a red adapter in a blue coupler. It only works with that color! Green I am not sure of because I didn’t even bother checking but after consideration I bought the blue one because what is the point in the red one because they are the same ones my co-workers have so what is the point in buying it except the colorfulness of it.See my pictures for a more general reference it what I mean about each adapter.Now on to more about the adapters, after receiving the set of adapters I took them to work and installed them on my air hose, after finding out it doesn’t have enough adapters for all my air tools which I will have to buy more of them. The adapters are VERY light as they are made from aluminum which is great because aluminum is very strong and the couplers are steel and aluminum. The colorfulness I love because many ask about the blue and makes my tools look cooler but also the coupler on the air hose is easy to see and grab quickly. The adapters being a different type of adapters is easy to install on the air hose and release as it doesn’t take a lot of force to connect or disconnect. The best part about this is that no one is able to use it because it doesn’t work with their connections. I asked a co-worker to keep an eye on and realized it was one of the lube technicians using it while their hoist was full and they are trying to jam their air tool into my airline and it won’t work. Once I realized who it was I laughed so hard because it was almost like a “serves you right” moment because he had to lower the car and move it. Brilliant idea who ever came up with it but there is also a down side to it because now when I need to move hoists when mine is tied up I cannot use their air hose (but I roll it up when I am done) because mine has a different adapter and won’t work with a standard adapter.Overall I think this is the most brilliant idea yet because it doesn’t allow others to use my equipment and the price was very reasonable and doesn’t break the bank but only comes with so many adapters but what can you do. Otherwise if you own a shop, work from home, or do anything with air tools I would TOTALLY recommend this because these are high quality for a good price and prevent others from using it.
