We purchased this because we specifically needed a 17" width rather than 20" width, to fill in a space next to a larger mat. If you have sufficient space you will greatly prefer 20", which is the more standard width. The color and cushioning are very good, while the quality of the materials and friction-adhesion to the floor appear adequate but not great. The smaller one slides around if used on its own, but we attached it to the larger one (duct tape on bottom seam), and the two now stay in place quite well. The top side of the material is easy to clean.

Good Value for the price, however, I got them for my elderly parents to replace carpets. These are FAR easier to clean and less messy than the carpets they had. Also much easier to see just how much falls off the counter and stove & know when to clean. The ONLY down is the .4 thickness isn't enough to give the same comfort as the carpets, so for the areas most stood on - stove and sink, I since got 2 small .8" similar mats. When these go, I will replace the whole area with .8" mats. Again, these are very cost effective & live up to the seller / manufacturer info: slip & water resistant... just too thin for my elderly parents comfort.

Even though I love the cushiony feel, I have had this for 5 weeks and already there are two 1/4 inch holes in it. The white small rips look like spilled food! Evidently the the mat is not very thick like my last one. I don't know what could have ripped it but ripped it is. Maybe some brown duck tape and a sharpie will hide the holes. No Virginia, I would not buy this again.
