I have used many different Sunshades, and many of them are quickly become old and beat up, after all the Sun is very strong. But this one remains a very good shape after one year use.It blocks the sun as well as the rain. There is one thing you may want to do it yourself. since this one is waterproof, if it rains very heavy, it may collect the water, if you can punch a small hole in the middle of where is water collected, it may not be the middle of the sail, i.e. if you have one corner taller of lower can affect where middle point is where the water collected.

I needed something to cover my front deck for added shade and to help keep us dry. This is great it is waterproof so no water gets through and provides the shade I was needing.

This is a great product for the price. Be aware that it does not allow rain to pass through so you will need to install to allow for water runoff. i ended up putting a few brass grommets in to allow it to drain.

I leave it up outdoors all year in the elements. It's a great tarp and I've just bought another one as the old one finally got too thin from the beating sun, wind, and rain. Really durable, great sunshade/rain cover for my porch!

We bought a 12 x 24 sale shade and we went with a waterproof one for obvious reasons. It was not realized until a downpour occurred, that our waterproof shade would hold water. It works great for keeping the rain/water off you.Now it is all stretched out & does not fit well because water sat on it & we have to use a soft end of a mop to poke up at the shade to dump the water off. We are so disappointed. It’s my fault. Still living & learning. It’s beautiful regardless!

We just received our sail and I am very happy with the durable and tidy stitching. It appears to be a really high quality product. it looks fantastic, and we hung it very tight using short strong bungee cords. In the rain last night it filled with water and stretched out a bit. We've decided to move two corners down so that we create a natural pitch so it can't collect water. Keep this in mind so that you install it in such a way that water cannot collect in it or it will stretch out of shape. Other than that, very happy with our purchase.

I hung it in a pergola... wanted waterproof so I could grill/smoke in the Florida sun without getting rained on. Worked fine, except the sail collected all the rain like a giant udder. My mistake. I changed the top cross members to slope to one side, then put lattice on top of them with the sail above. It's worked fine through two thunderstorms now. Problem solved. Love the sail

Customer service is excellent. After posting the canopy I received was damaged, they immediately shipped out a replacement. This one is perfect. Rain proof and has D rings on each end. Easy to install. Recommend.Original post:I knew it was used, or returned, but there was no mention of possible tears or cuts in it. I wanted a waterproof sunshade to keep an area dry...this will not perform. Beware of used or repackaged items. Saving a few bucks doesn't pay when the damage is more than cosmetic.

Can not be happier. Came in 3 days. We moved and our old sail was too small for new deck. We always wanted orange. The colour is true to the web site. Very well made. Great stitching. Would buy again

Package arrived 3 days early! It was exactly as expected. I did a lot of measuring before hand to make sure I got the right size. You do not want too big if you have restricted installation space. I used a combination of rope pulleys and turnbuckles to allow a good tight deployment as well as the ability to quickly take it down if necessary. The actual minimum width in the very middle is 5’ 5†which I anticipated from reading other reviews. Once installed and tight, my water test with the spray hose showed that it will shed the water just fine. The key is getting it as taught as possible. The fit and finish looks great. There is a seam along the 12’ side and I actually like the look of it and I think it adds a little strength overall. I am very satisfied with the end result and the great value provided!

We live on the west coast and it rains ... a lot! Our patio has no cover and we rent so this was a great solution. It must be placed on an angle so the rain doesn't pool but it is great. I put sheer curtain material under it so it doesn't show the sun shade as much - a little more cozy.
