I bought the xxs in blue for my nearly 3-year-old. I mainly wanted it for next winter+spring, but couldn't resist having my daughter try it on already when it was a bit chilly this March. It's certainly slightly large on an average-sized nearly three-year-old. But if it's meant for sizes 4-5, I'd say it's more of a size 4.In any case, it's an awesome fleecy pullover - really soft, warm, and pleasant to the touch. Really high quality and lovely vivid color.

Columbia makes great fleece pullovers for kids. The pink color is adorable and the pullover adds a layer of warmth for outdoor play. Fits as expected.

Bought for my 8yo son for a camping weekend, and he loved it! Wore it all weekend, ended up covered in dirt from a weekend of fun. Washed right out. Also fits great.

Very soft fleece pullover. I bought the xl for my 11 year old daughter who is average height and very slim. It was def big. But wearable. She decided to keep it. And it washed well

I love the color and warmth of this fleece. I plan to buy this style at every size. I wish I would have sized up because I feel the fit is narrow even on my thin toddler. Arms are snug too, wouldn't easily fit a sweater underneath. Will also invest in a zip up fleece to accommodate larger underclothes. I have never had an issue with his clothing being too narrow.
