Kit did what it was designed to do, but did not fit completely inside my lexus radiatior opening. Holding it in place on the inner lip of the radiatior did accomplish the job to establish a seal and perform the test.

Opened new kit and the testing fluid was already contaminated. This makes the testing kit useless. Waste of time.

I used this kit, along with another test, to determine if my engine had a blown head gasket. It, and the other test, indicated that there was no blown head gasket. That's a good thing, but it told me that there is another issue to tackle.The product worked as indicated and that is about as much as one can ask for.

I've always liked this style of test when checking for combustion gases in cooling system. Not every blown head gasket causes a milkshake to form in your crankcase, or a white cloud to follow you out your tailpipe everywhere you go. Sometimes a vehicles head gasket has a very small imperfection and detection is much harder to pinpoint. I find this stuff is great for finding those issues that are just barely starting to become a problem with only a few vague indicators suggesting something is amiss.

This thing is easy to use, I bought this to see if my head gasket was blown, this didn't turn from blue to yellow like it should if it detected combustion gasses, but that wasn't the problem. I like how it includes everything you would need fluid, the bulb and the container to put the fluid in, plus a nice case to carry everything in. Turns out in my case, it was a bad radiator, not a head gasket, thank God lol...
