  • The Comfort Trainer's soft, rounded nose band will fit any dog from a Boston Terrier to German Shepherd to Mastiff, and will gently guide your dog's head and help you to quickly train your dog. The head halter conforms to your dog's head shape without irritating the eyes, constricting the jaw or abrading your dog's nose. Because he is comfortable, your dog will acclimate faster and be ready to learn.
  • Why choose the Comfort Trainer Head Halter over other Head Halters: Powerful yet gentle control to deter pulling, biting and barking or for walking multiple dogs; most comfortable head collar on the market; the adjustment will not slip; dogs acclimate to it faster; less chance of abrasion injury; easy to put on and take off; will not irritate your dog's eyes (if sized/fitted properly); will not come off of your dog (if sized/fitted properly).
  • The Comfort Trainer comes complete with instructions for use. Please note: It takes time to teach your dog to be comfortable wearing any head halter. You will receive instructions on how to do this. If you have only minor problems with pulling, you may consider an Easy Walk No-Pull Harness which most dogs prefer to wear over a head halter.

I have trained several puppies and I just love this product!!! The Comfort Trainer is a thoughtful and well engineered improvement over all other head type halters. This CT is FAR more comfortable than other halters due to the softer material, fit around the eyes and does not fit as tightly as The Gentle Leader but Still gives the same amount of control. Yes, the halter is pricy but well worth it. The Comfort Trainer comes in great colors, quality materials. Any type of head halter will take time for the human to use with skill so follow the directions and go slow:)

Best design of three head halters we have tried. In one week, it seriously improved our enjoyment while walking and training our lovable, energetic and stubborn mid-size hound. Lightweight and narrow, the halter has both a metal adjustment buckle and a small plastic clasp on the collar. The snout-loop fits into webbing below the chin. Our dog was absolutely unable to knock this off, head-toss out of it. There is no hardware or wide padding near her eyes that can ride up or slide out of adjustment and nothing to choke her. It is important for the handler to be light-handed and use a downward motion to control the dog to avoid damaging the lips or neck. If the plastic clasp proves durable it will be worth the price. If not, I'll switch to a less expensive option.

My dog is used to head halters. I combine their use with front clip training harnesses (such as the freedom no pull). She had the snoot loop previously which I lost. I was really excited when I saw this product because it looked like a similar but less complex design to the snoot loop. I would also recommend the snoot loop which if ordered directly from the inventor is a bit cheaper then this. What I liked about the snoot loop and what I like about this harness is that my dog can open her mouth freely. Some head halters can be a little restrictive. She seems a little more comfortable with this head harness then she did with the snoot loop. She does not even appear to notice this one at all once it is on. She really only needs it occasionally when she is very excited. I ordered a size 5. She is an Anatolian Shepherd and currently weighs about 85 lbs (and still growing...). The harness fits perfectly and never slides down her nose. I just wish there were more color options! I highly recommend.

great fit and a much better gentle leader alternative than the ones that require constant adjusting around the snout.however, i’m subtracting two stars due to the ability of my 90 lb German Shepherd to break free if he applies a decent amount of resistance.solution: i’ve since paired it with a dominant collar for additional assurance that my dog will still remain tethered to the leash.

My dog likes this head halter better than he likes his name-brand gentle leader. He still doesn’t love the concept of a head halter, but I wasn’t expecting a miracle. He does seem to find it easier to have his mouth wider open in this one. I think my dog walker must have loosened the buckle clasp, however, as he completely slipped out of it while crossing the street the other day (how it is, without fail, that he knows when I’m jaywalking across a street where cars fly by and stops halfway across to try to paw off his halter?).The only negatives are that the clasp to secure the halter around my dog’s head is very small and more difficult to find and unlatch through his thick mane than was the latch on the gentle leader, and that the sizing mechanism, by virtue of being a buckle, seems more appealing to my dog walker to use than to use the quick release clasp. The result is that if multiple folks are using this halter it won’t be a once-and-done affair to fit the halter to your dog’s head

My 19-month-old reactive Aussie and I have tried the Halti (no room for panting) and the Gentle Lead (easily slips off and bothers his nose even with moleskin). This is worth the price and I hope this company goes far. P.S. my Aussie is coming along great with lots of positive training, bonding, trick training, and keeping him away from triggers. He is now able to walk by other dogs without getting crazily excited. Peace is possible people if you just keep at it and stay positive! Cheers.

We have a couple of the Comfort Trainer Head Halter we purchased several years ago when our older dog was a puppy. They are amazing! They really were an excellent training tool for our dog Wyatt and we still use the larger one every day. When we adopted our puppy Jane, we immediately began using the size 3 we already owned for her training. Still amazing! She's grown to a little over 50 pounds so we searched for the next size up. When we ordered the new Comfort Trainer Head Halter in size 4, I was pleased to see that everything looked exactly the same as before. It took a little time to realize that while they look great, the clasp has been changed to a much cheaper and failure-prone alternative. The first clasp broke entirely. Thankfully this happened while in our yard and the puppy came back into the house safely with some treats and coaxing. Amazon is amazing and sent out a replacement immediately. Unfortunately the replacement also has clasp issues. On this one the clasp releases with any tug from Jane. This is a real problem with our 50 lb puppy who is still learning! She's tugged herself out of the harness several times. When we moved her back to the much older size 3 (that is honestly a tiny bit too small for her), it works beautifully. I'm sorry to see the quality diminish on the Comfort Trainer Head Halter. They really were an excellent product and I've recommended them to many friends and family. Unfortunately I can no longer do so. They are simply unsafe at this point. I hope the manufacturer will realize the error in the change and switch back to more robust clasps. As it is, we'll continue to use our older versions but will be unable to purchase replacements when they wear out.
