I have used these guide plates in the past on a previous build. They are very well made and met my requirements. I have purchased items from Super Shops in the past and they are great to deal with. Their prices are lower than Summit Racing and they ship fast. I will continue to buy from them.

These fitted my 454 BBC rebuild with the stock heads. Only thing was the price, but I needed it and so I bought them.Hope the pictures help.

The price was good.....I probably will buy another set, cuz maybe part could have been a freak defect....or maybe I didn't set them up correctly and the pushrod rubbed against the side of the guide plate much or something.....I dunno...I was surprised to see the failure for sure....the motor only has like 500 miles on it and the cam isn't really a huge cam by any means with .545" lift. The motor only seen 6 g's one or two times so far....but like I said b4....it could be a parts defect.....I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt....I more than likely will buy another set and just replace the one piece and keep the rest for spares just in case....cuz I'm not sure if they sell them one at a time....

I used other cheaper guides once will never do it again. Comp Cams quality and precision with their parts can't be beat. Do it once and do it right would be my advice, and no I don't work for Comp Cams.

I bought another brand thinking it would be USA made, Manley, only to discover they were made in China. They were garbage. Had most of the rocker arms 1/3 off the tops of the valves. Bought these USA made Comp Cam units, and all the geometry problems were fixed.
