These are good quality metal clad Viton valve stem seals. The technique I use to install these is as follows:1. First remove the tension springs from each seal. The reason for this is that the springs will interfere with the installation tool.2. Lightly coat the inside of the seal with a drop of light machine oil, and a drop spread around the top of the valve guide. Avoid using grease as creates hydraulic pressure and will work against you.3. With no pressure applied, gently twist the seals to seat them to the guide. This ensures the seals are positioned correctly on the valve guide.4. Then, use a 1/2" deep well socket (3/8 drive) and tap them in with a small hammer. I emphasize "tap" them...do not attempt to pound the seals in place or you will damage the seal and possibly the guide.5. Once confirmed the seal is properly seated, reinstall the tension spring and move on to the next one.

Good seals but be careful with the small springs when installing, had to buy a second set as i mashed a couple of springs on the first set.

The O.D. for these valve seals are .530, the I.D. is .525 by rough measurement with a caliper. The factory O.D. for the guides on the head are .530. .005 larger than the .525 I.D. of this seal. These valve seals do not fit factory heads. The factory guides must be cut to accept these. I wish the advertisement stated this instead of saying they are for .530 "GUIDE SIZE".
