Good quality product. I had oil flow through the lifters and to the rocker arms in less than two minutes. The bad: these lifters do NOT look like the ones in the product description. They do NOT have the hardened ring on the camshaft surface as depicted in the photo. Yet, they still function flawlessly.

These seem like a improvement over the basic hydraulic flat tappet lifters. You set the lash with almost no preload. The lifters aren’t noisy like solid lifters but they do let you run at higher RPMs.

Don't buy will stick. as if you had solid lifters. BADOn first five miles had two stick bent pushrod on one. replaced all pushrods and now five are sticking like there solid lifters. WOW Nothing but money. Got these because not cheap set. But cost me more in the long run. Now the Corvette is stuck in the garage. Had no compression on three cylinders because lifters stuck. Loosened roller rockers to 0 got Compression back in all cylinders again. So Yeah not a happy camper. Thinking on not buying from them again. But first will see if they will make this good. Then I will change my review.

My old lifters had snap clips (cot lips) and these came with a press fit type clip. There was a single loose clip flopping around inside the box (which was all ripped and falling apart as well) however none of the lifters were missing a clip. I inspected all lifters and several had loose clips. If I put these into my 69 427 BBC I’m sure they’ll destroy my motor. JUNK, returning.

These lifters were not the same as the pictures having an armor face and a proper circlip holding the plunger in. They were rusted and pitted as others have stated and the stamped plunger retaining clips were not totally seated in many of them and one was ready to fly apart in the box. These are absolute junk.I called Comp Cams and they were absolutely clueless about this lifter and its construction and who made it. They were also zero help about what to do as my return window was closed with JB's Power Center. JB's said they would show it to their Comp Cams rep but dont hold a lot of faith. Im going with Howards Lifters instead. Beware
