Used for a 3lb kayak anchor, this product does exactly what's expected of it. I find the cordage strong enough for this purpose and the locking and retrieving mechanisms work perfectly.

This is an easy to use reel that I bought to use as an anchor line reel for a kayak. Works great for that and is a perfect size to keep on my kayak crate.

I didn’t need it for its intended purpose. But it didn’t work for the application I needed. Cheap built. It may work for its intended purpose. I don’t know.

It's loaded with what looks like kite string, you'll have to replace with tougher stuff.It DOES NOT have a back and forth winding mechanism, meaning it will spool unevenly and cause issues.Plastic is thin in my opinion
