Ok so I received a bad unit. But the customer service and the amazing overall everything has been amazing. They sent me a new fan assembly. They were extremely kind, unlike Amazon's reps. And I had no issue working with them. The fans work. The units great. And the rep who took care of me is fantastic. No I wasn't paid for this but I'm genuinely impressed st how amazing this company is. Thank you a million times! You are amazing!Original review;I drilled holes and everything into a cabinet for my computer and went to plug in the fan and it doesn't work. Tried the splitter, direct everything. You hear the sparks and smell electrical burn. Returned.I wanted to keep the same one but the fans are unavailable now.

I was looking forward to the flexibility of the rotary variable speed knob on this fan. I thought it would be a plus to dial in the appropriate speed versus the Off/Low/Medium/High switches on similar fans. Unfortunately it was a disappointment because at maximum speed it moves very little air. I can't imagine any situation where I would use anything less than maximum speed. This plugs into an AC outlet as opposed to being USB powered. That could be a feature or a drawback depending on your needs.

This MEGAttA 80mm=3.14" square Cooling Fan with AC Plug, Variable Speed Controller seems to be decently made and the adjustable speed control works well. It has adequate air flow when set at the maximum speed for most things that would use this size fan. It worked really well to blow solder fumes off of a circuit board while soldering.I did not like that the length of the cord from the wall plug to the control box was only 16", it should be about 6'. The control box is 3.25" wide. The length of the wires from the control box to the fan is 38", which is adequate. The total length from the wall plug to the fan is 57.25" The Amazon ad says the total length is 39". It is nice that the cord is longer but the ad should be correct.The voltage output of the controller is 3V to 12V which is correctly stated in the ad. I did not measure the current.The airflow direction is opposite to that shown in the ad.I would have given a higher rating if the supplier had taken time to check the ad for accuracy.
