Operation method:

  1. Insert the power 20-pin or 24-pin plug into the corresponding position of the power tester
  2. Turn on the power supply, tester would "didi" sounds twice and LCD screen lights up. Then tester would buzzer alarms and “+12V2” displays “LL”, it mean needs to plug in 4P, 6P or 8P connector (The voltage of 4P, 6P and 8P connectors is displayed by the "+12V2" value on the LCD screen)
  3. Plug the 4P connector, check the "+12V2" value on the LCD screen
  4. Remove 4P connector, plug the 6P connector and check the "+12V2" value on the LCD screen
  5. Remove 6P connector, plug the 8P connector and check the "+12V2" value on the LCD screen
  6. Keep 20-pin / 24-pin, 4P, 6P or 8P connector plug into power tester, then plug the IDE(HDD) connector, check the "+12V" & "+5V" lights on the left of the power tester
  7. Remove HDD connector, plug the Floppy connector and check the "+12V" & "+5V" lights on the left of the power tester
  8. Remove Floppy connector, plug the SATA connector and check the "+12V", "+3.3V" & "+5V" lights on the left of the power tester

How to judge test results?

The voltage of 20-pin / 24-pin / 4P / 6P / 8P interface is displayed by the 1.8'' LCD Screen

  • If the values "+3.3V", "+12V1", "+5V", "-12V", "5VSB", "PG" (except "+12V2") on LCD Screen do not flash, it indicates that the power 20-pin / 24-pin input of this power supply is normal.
  • If the values of "+12V2" do not flash, it indicates that the power 4P / 6P / 8P input of this power supply is normal.

The voltage of IDE (HDD) / Floppy / SATA interface is displayed by the 3 lights on the left of the power tester

  • When Plug the IDE (HDD) connector, If the lights of "+12V" & "+5V" are on, it indicates that the IDE (HDD) power input is normal.
  • When Plug the Floppy connector, If the lights of "+12V" & "+5V" are on, it indicates that the Floppy power input is normal.
  • When Plug the SATA connector, If the lights of "+12V", "+3.3V" & "+5V" are on, it indicates that the SATA power input is normal.

If their test voltage is exceeds the normal range, the buzzer will send out a warning sound of "di di" for a long time, and the corresponding voltage or PG value display status is flashing state, it means that the power supply is a fault source.

This PSU tester is a fantastic tool for diagnosing power supply issues! The 24-pin connector is a snug fit, but it works perfectly once connected. The instructions included were thorough, written clearly in English, and made the process of plugging everything in straightforward. I really appreciated the beeps that let me know when it was ready for the 4p, 6p, and 8p connectors (didn’t try Molex or SATA, but I’m sure they’d work just as well). It helped me confirm a failed power supply—just keep in mind that the tester is powered by the 24-pin, so if the PSU is completely dead, the tester won’t light up. I tested it with a second PSU, and the device worked perfectly, showing accurate voltages. The only downside is that it didn’t include instructions for unplugging, but that’s minor and doesn’t affect its performance. Highly recommend this tool for anyone troubleshooting PC power issues!

Initial impression is this tester works great! It activates the power supply and and provides a full display all pin voltage and polarity on one screen. Pass or Fail, you are done, move on with confidence.Don't wait until after your new PC is built to find out it contains problem components. This tool allows the power supply to be checked right out of the box prior to installation. Only takes a minute and tells you everything you need to know.

If you have any pc issues with power supplies, this is the best tester out there to troubleshoot and check the voltages for both modular and modular pc power supplies. It works for both 20 pin and 24 pin PSU's and as well as legacy power supplies. Highly recommended.

This tester is pretty convenient in form factor, being able to connect to the ATX power plug (20 or 24 pin) and test the voltage of the power supply. It includes plugs all around for testing the 12V power supply for the CPU, GPU, and SATA or other accessories. It also shows the frequency of the power OK signal. One usability issue is that it has no power switch. Plug it in, and it turns on immediately. However, a major problem is that it provides no load. I got it to test a PSU that turned out to be broken. When the PSU turned on, this device showed all voltages good. It was only when I found some way to add a load outside the tester, then this tester was able to show that the PSU isn’t able to maintain its voltages.
