I had replaced my serpentine belt in february on my 01 Jeep GC with a new belt from advanced auto. reviewes on that belt were 5 stars so i bought it. after my mechanic installed it with some other parts i had, my belt was still squealing! i replaced the belt tensioner assembly, water pump, etc. the squealing was coming from the steering pump pulley. so i was going to order a new steering pump and hardware ($250), but i decided to try a new belt and saw reviewes for this gatorback. i ordered it and installed it myself and now the squeal is GONE!!! this is a great belt and the ribs on it are awsome! no movement like my other belt when the engine is on. this is also the cheapest price anywhere and the quality is there!!

It does exactly what it says. Had a generic belt, it squeaked, put a ton of WD40 on it, squeaked at 4k RPM. Put this belt on, sped down the Boulevard, reved my engine a lot in the Driveway... made my neighbors mad.. no squeak. Very content with the purchase.Side note, Amazon warns you that "This item is not compatible with your 2007 Ford Mustang" ... it is. I went to the manufacturer website and gave my VIN and it pulled up the model I need. Fits tight like a tiger.

I purchased this as a replacement for my Jeep Liberty. Although quiet at first, I soon noticed a burning smell coming from the serpentine area. It turns out that the OEM Liberty belts have a grooved, or grippy pattern on the backside of the belt. This proves to be important since the back side drives the water pump, and it will slip on that pulley if it's not the right belt.

I had recently changed one of the pulleys ( tensioner pulley ) and it was the original one, the new replacement one was way bigger , i was concerned the belt wouldnt fit right , but it was actually a perfect fit . 5 stars !!
