This assembly increases belt life, because the belt maintains ideal tension as it wears. Features round, torsion-spring technology instead of a flat-spring due to inherent corrosion protection.

Fit like original on my yukon. Hopefully it lasts a while. No noticeable noise or belt slippage to my knowledge. Bought it to have just in case when I changed the compressor. Glad I had it because the old one was seized up and in rough shape.

I have changed both the ac compressor and tensioner to eliminate the belt noises when you start the ac. I lost couple belts until i decided to change the compressor and the ac belt tensoiner to resolve the problem. Product came in a nice packing with superior quality comparing with OEM. Exact fit plus this one has unique spring mechanism which made me willing to try it .Worked perfectly with no issue. Worth every penny you spent.

It’s not the same as the pictures . Made in India / not Canada like the original. Missing the centering pin . Definitely made to a lower quality. 1/4 instead of 3/8 to release tension. Will update if it explodes. Or holds up

The 1/4 drive to release tension was cast too small. Had to open up the hole a little bit. The casting cracked on the install.

At a fraction of the cost of the OEM part, this arrived at my door in two days and fit perfectly. The part was solid and has been in use for a few months, now, with no issues, at all.

The original ACDelco a/c belt tensioner lasted approximately 100K miles before needing replacement. I purchased this product from a large auto parts retailer and after 15 months and approximately 18K miles it has failed and needs replaced again. Needless to say, I went with ACDelco. Engine is a 2006 Chevy 4.8L V8 w/ 119K miles still running great.
