I was looking for some lightweight, simple shorts to knock around the house in. These looked like a good choice. My waist is about 33 inches, so I ordered these in medium, dark gray. The color is as expected, and the fabric is a lightweight, slightly coarse blend. I don't think I would go so far as to call them linen, but they should perform similarly. The fit is about right for a medium, and the length of the legs hits just above my knee as I'd like. There is plenty of room in the legs, also as I'd like. I would consider them loose fitting. These shorts do not have many features, just an elastic waistband with a drawstring, side pockets and a single back pocket. Very basic. There is no functional fly, and I think these would benefit from that. It would also be nice if there were belt loops – with the pockets loaded, I may not be able to leave the house for fear these would end up at my ankles. I can't complain too much though, as I was mainly looking for something to wear around the house, and perhaps to wear as pajama shorts. For those purposes, I think these shorts will work well.

First, I will say that I am likely to wear these shorts. They are not what I think of when I think of linen. I would describe the material more as burlap. But even with that said, they are okay. I could see wearing them on a hot day with, say, a light cotton t-shirt and some sandals.It'd just that when I think of linen, I think of an outfit that is subtly dressier - something you might wear to an evening wedding party. In my opinion, these shorts are definitely not that. And it's not just the material. They way they're cut reminds me of a pair of hospital scrubs. They're very loose (which, in fairness, makes them quite comfortable).From a perspective of sizing, they fit as expected.

These shorts are a great color, breathable, light, and very comfortable. They fit me well, and I like the drawstring at the waist so I can adjust the fit if needed.

They are super comfortable and lightweight so I don't get overheated. I like that they are longer and feature drawstrings to keep it lounge-able, but not falling down. They are nice and casual so I can lounge or dress them up a bit for versatility or activities.
