We have cookbooks in different sizes, weight, thickness. The stand was good for light weight cookbooks that are not too thick. We tried a cook book that was about an inch thick when closed and it would not hold the pages open or the book well enough. It would topple forwards. This is good but not for a heavy weight cookbook larger than half an inch. Make sure your book also is able to lay flat or it will close

I initially got this to hold cookbooks but ended up using it to hold a little painting I made in a sip n paint class, which now sits on my kitchen counter. It's super easy to assemble, is quite sturdy and looks beautiful. I'm even tempted to get another one for my cookbooks because I can't bear to remove my little painting.

This is surprisingly simple and elegant. The item came in three pieces and I struggled to put it together until I looked at the picture. But once I did, it made sense and it was easy. It's not the most sturdy thing in the world. It wobbles a little bit, but it does hold my cookbook.It is very pretty, but it is smaller than I thought it would be. I have a standard-size cookbook, more like a coffee table book size and it doesn't really cover the book. The stand goes about halfway up the book and spans just at the edges of the book.Overall, it looks pretty and is a nice addition to my kitchen.

I have a book I wanted to leave open on certain pages for decor but it tips forward and won’t stay seated. The book is small and thick. This might work better for a different size of book.

Bought this along with a recipe book for my daughter for her birthday. Came broken. Going to try to glue it. Might update this if the glue holds.
