I ordered this cooling vest to help keep cool during hot summer trips to popular Florida theme parks, and it didn't work well at all, just made me feel more sweaty.Turns out since it uses evaporative cooling, rather than ice packs, it can't be used in humid weather because the air is already saturated with moisture and there's nowhere for the water in the vest to evaporate. So it just stays rather moist and my body heat sweats underneath it.It would probably work better in very dry environments like national parks out west, but for me it was a bust.

This vest is simple and it works. Just get it wet ring it on and evaporation does the rest, keeping you cool for hours. It eventually dries out so take a break and reset. It’s a bit like wearing a sponge but keeping cool on a hot day is more important. An economical way to stay cool on a hot day

This cooling vest with adjustable straps can be worn by anyone of average size. If you soak it in water for a while, twist it slightly, and wear it, it becomes a cool cooling vest. Once soaked in water, it stays cool for up to 4 hours, so you can spend the hot summer with a cooling vest without ice, so I am satisfied with this product.

I'm sized around a women's 12 or men's medium and this just barely fastens on me. It could work for someone a little bigger but you'll likely need to add on extra velcros yourself to make the straps longer. But it's not sized for plus size people.Other than this though, Id like the vest and it's definitely gonna save my bacon this summer. Sometimes the AC doesn't kick on properly in the daytime and on top of my hot flashes I am going through it here in the desert. I haven't tested it extensively in the outdoors but it's really nice to cool down indoors! It really does hold onto to water for awhile (I do think how long is going to depend a lot on your local humidity level and temperature so if you are outdoors maybe bring some extra water with you to do some resoaking as needed). The wetness does go through your clothes some, but it mostly stays in the towel. The fabric is that technical kind that dries stiff so that's why it arrives soaking wet. If you need to store it folded, do that before it dries or you'll damage it. Would recommend to launder on cold with minimal soap and either hang dry or lay flat and fold it up how you like.
