What is dowsing?
Dowsing is a type of divination or radiesthesia, which is a practice of seeking knowledge of the unknown. It is an ancient practice of holding twigs or metal rods that move in response to hidden objects. It is employed to locate underground water, utilities, metals, treasure, graves, earth vibrations, & more. The theory behind dowsing is that by relaxing, you allow yourself to tune into a kind of intuition associated with unseen items.
Individuals from many different countries have used dowsing rods for thousands of years to find where to dig for water wells. Neolithic cave paintings have been found depicting dowsing. In pioneer days, dowsing was important in deciding where to claim a homestead. In modern times people continue to use dowsing rods.
A great way to learn about dowsing is to join a local dowsing group. Dowsing groups can be found through a search on Meetup. The largest organized body of dowsers is the American Society of Dowsers (ASD) founded in 1961. The organization has many chapters and offers monthly workshops.
How to use dowsing rods
Hold one rod in each hand by the handle so that the long part is pointed forward and parallel with the ground. Hold the rods loosely enough so that they can swing freely from side to side. The rods should be at arms length away from the body, at waist level, and about 9 inches apart. The rod should rest flat over the index finger, while the butt of the handle should fit into the heel of your hand.
Begin by walking at a moderate pace. Focus your mind on the target you are looking for as you walk. When the tips of the rods start to cross or diverge it means the target is near. The rods will stay in the crossed or diverged position when a signal is reached.
It takes practice to develop the art of dowsing.

I liked everything about this product. It’s a nice quality box to hold the rods so they don’t get bent. I took them out to Castaic to look for a missing boy and even though it was windy they still worked fine in any direction I was standing. We didn’t find what we were looking for unfortunately, but I’ve used them in other things and definitely got answers to my questions. I would recommend.

My rods came and I was so excited and happy to see the rods came in a nice wooden box to keep them secure. However my rods make a clicking noise and will not fully turn 360 degree. Also I did not receive a pendulum with my order which is very upsetting. I can not get in contact with the seller and I would like to get a new set of rods and a pendulum as it was suppose to come with one.

Dowsing rods are solid copper and not coated neither hollow like the rest. The wooden carry case is perfect since they won’t bend especially when traveling. Highly recommended.

I was highly disappointed in the quality of this product. The box is rough and the clasp does not work. The rods are not as high quality as my last ones either and yet this product was nearly 3x the price. I purchased in hopes of getting a high quality product but I could have purchased the cheapest rods offered and received the same.
