This is a cordless router, meant for doing designs or channels in wood. It does turn on and run with Dewalt 20v batteries, and it's nice that it comes with a variety of router bits.That's about where the nice things end. The instruction manual that came with this is for an entirely different router. There is no mention of the parts that I received, or how to properly connect them. This is my first woodworking router, so maybe if I'd had a "name brand" unit before the parts would make sense...but they don't. Extremely frustrating. I'll have to find someone more experienced to take a look and see if they can explain what some of these parts are for and how they work. Major disappointment here.

This is a cordless trim router. I found it works well, with good bits it offered consistent power with no binding issues or reductions with pressure. I didn't have any concerns with noise or vibration. With cheap bits I did notice a slight difference between my corded unit with rougher cuts. It is a nice unit and well priced, I do wonder if the speed stated is accurate. I have been invited to participate in the Amazon Vine program and it is my responsibility to offer an unbiased opinion. This compact router is a great addition to my tool collection. It’s compatible with Dewalt 20V Max batteries, which is super convenient since I already have a few. The 800W motor with 30,000 RPM delivers plenty of power for trimming and shaping wood.It’s lightweight, easy to handle, and the brushless motor runs smoothly.
