I was very excited to receive this outdoor LED lamp so I could read outside at night. Sadly it was so dim a candle would have been better. Back in the box it goes.

I live in a hurricane-prone southern state and that means from May through November of any given year I can count on losing electricity at least once a month. So, I have a collection of rechargeable desk lamps around the house but this will be my first full length lamp.Actually, it’s a multiple length lamp that can go up to 41 inches by merely removing one or more of the sections. And since there’s no power cord running up these sections, you don’t have to worry about excess cords getting in the way.Assembly is a breeze and really doesn’t even require instructions. In fact, your biggest decision will be what length to choose. You have a variety of light brightness and colors to choose from although I seriously doubt I’ll ever use them all. Whatever you pick, you’ll probably be satisfied with the light it provides. Now for the complaints:* Instructions? Cryptic at best. For example, it doesn’t tell you to press the power button for 4 seconds or more to increase brightness. Then again, it doesn’t tell you to press the same button to dim the light. All it shows is a graphic with a finger pointing to the power button and a notation stating “>4sâ€.* Want to turn off the light? Count on cycling through all the colors. Although the limited instructions state “>4s†on the power button should turn it off, it doesn’t (at least not on my lamp).* Recharging requires the head be removed. Why? The USB-C cord is too short. Wonder how long it will take before those threads wear out. However, in the end analysis this is a decent lamp at a decent price. Your not getting room filling light, but it’s enough to help you for the short term should power go out or you need a light close by.As for pricing, it’s well within reason given that even standard, corded floor lamps go for substantially more and don’t offer the flexibility this one does.

Ok. I'm not sure where to begin with this thing. I guess if you are looking for an adjustable height accent lamp that can change color and has touch on/off functionality then maybe this is for you? But there are just some really odd design and structure issues that leave me not loving this thing. It arrives in pieces. There are like 6 very short 6 inch metal rods with screw threads that you can screw together(or not) to create the height you want. Some problems however are that the screw threads that attach these together aren't solidly attached so as you are trying to unscrew them, the screw threads are falling out. Second, The lamp itself has a small threaded piece that doesn't actually fit into any of the rods, so u can't really screw it on securely. Mine was sorta balanced on top, but a solid bump would knock it down. (more on that later) and lastly.... the height of the totally assembled lamp is like....counter height. So its not really tall enough to be the standard height of a standing floor lamp, or something. So you basically have a desk lamp or like....a weird half height floor lamp that doesn't make sense. (again unless u want it for just an accent lamp I guess) This brings me to my next issue which is that it doesn't really produce much light. Because it only shines down and up, but not out the sides....the illumination it provides is fairly limited (its not super bright) and so unless you are using it as a desk lamp and sitting very close to it....its not providing much light. Lastly, it runs on a battery, which is charged via usb c...which is cool I guess but if its a lamp you wanna just have on all the time, its not great because the charge port isn't in the base its right out of the bottom of the lamp itself so u have a cord just hanging there....looks bad. Some positives. I like that it can cycle through warm and cool light modes....and some variety of color modes. I like that its easily portable and the base has a nice weight too it, so it feels somewhat sturdy. However, if you want a desk lamp, I think there are better options...if u want a floor lamp, there are better options, if u want accent lamps there are likely better options. This just feels like some weird hybrid that I dont' know who the intended user is. Feels half baked. Its not tall enough. Its not bright enough. What do I do with the extra height pieces if I'm not using them? They will get lost. Having to stop and recharge it, again not great. Also the plastic at the top and bottom of the lamp is kinda brittle. My kid already managed to break a piece off just by gentle messing around with it.I can't really recommend this product right now, but I guess if you are looking for a portable usb powered half height color accent lamp that can be used outside....then maybe this is the right product for you.

I love that it’s adjustable. Great color choices. Easy to charge.

The product was a lot slimmer than I was expecting. It also is not bright at all and does not light up my office at all. It also does not stay charged longer than like 30 minutes. I regret throwing away the box
