Poor instructions on what nozzle to use for what type of paint but works well ones you figure that out. Another downside is how quickly it goes through the batteries. I had 6 batteries and 3 chargers which worked well because I had a lot to paint. Wouldn’t recommend anything less than that for a big project.

I had very low expectations for a battery operated paint sprayer, but I only needed one for small projects like painting some furniture pieces around the home. Going in with little knowledge of a paint sprayer, it did take a few initial test sprays to understand how it worked, but after you realize how to utilize the various nozzles and reading up on how to thin out some paints first before applying makes the spraying go on much smoother, this thing becomes a really fun toy to play with! I honestly find excuses to paint the next project now just for fun. One thing is that if you wanted to paint walls or full rooms, you might want something that's a corded plug in as it would give a more consistent spray all the way through. With this, you just need to watch your battery life and switch it out to the next battery once it starts to wean on the power a little.

This little paint sprayer is a solid option for smaller DIY projects, especially if you're already using DeWalt 20V batteries, which is a huge plus. The sprayer itself is lightweight, easy to handle, and has a good grip. It works well for things like chairs, desks, or small sheds, but if you're tackling something larger like a house, be prepared to refill the paint pretty frequently, as the hopper doesn’t hold much. A major downside is the fast battery drain, so I could only make it through small projects - which is all I’ve been using it for.Some independent research and watching videos is very helpful if you haven’t used a sprayer before.The instructions could be a lot clearer, especially when it comes to which nozzle to use for what type of paint. It comes with extra spray tips, which is nice in case one gets clogged. Overall, it’s great for smaller jobs, but if you’re doing a big project, just make sure you have plenty of batteries and be ready to refill often.

I haven't had too many projects requiring a paint sprayer since ordering this but I have tested it out on a few things. I works great with my normal DeWalt and offbrand batteries. Finally no longer need to deal with a power cord during spraying and I have tons of batteries so can just keep rotating on larger projects. It sprays evenly and consistently, just gotta monitor when the battery starts dying down, but it takes a while with the 4Ah ones. Very happy with this spray and looking forward to some bigger projects to really get the money's worth from it.
