I had to trim a forest property line with overgrown brambles and vines, cane and baby oaks, etc., and the circular metal blade was perfect for it. Very easy to trim tall weeds etc near a fence where your grass mowing service could lazily avoid with the riding mower. It is a weed eater style but uses different plastic to metal cutters depending upon how thick stems are to cut. Along with my mini chain saw I also bought from Amazon, I cut a tree line and overgrown brambles a pro wanted to charge me $2000 to trim back. I thought I'd use these relatively inexpensive rechargeable power tools and save money while getting exercise. My summer project is paying off and the tools still work very well. Don't hesitate to buy this and the mini chain saws because it is a great deal and they keep on working. Lightweight enough for retired old ladies with carpal tunnel to use. Easy to follow instructions and comes with needed small tools and replacement blades. Just get a good pair of long garden glove for brambles. I got the gloves on amazon, too. Very pleased with this and the other items to get the job done for a few hundred dollars instead of $2000.

Didn't even get a whole summer worth of use and the plastic gard broke off.it was easy to use and it did work well before the hard broke the battery lasted a good bit but I didn't have a lot to weed wack and not very nosey.

Listen I would give this a 2 if it wasn't for the fact that I only paid 50 bucks for it , I don't know what I was thinking , I live in Florida with 3 acres and have 2 gas powered Sthill weed eaters , but the wheels were cool and the saw and 2 batteries so the temptation won LOL , and it might come in handy for touching up areas , look for people with a small yard or in a developed housing area it's a good deal for the money , they are very generous with blades and accessories , the saw is kinda powerful for the light duty machine so be careful , but it works just trimmed My Yard 18 to 20 inch weeds , to do 20 feet took about 3 to 5 minutes with this unit , but 20 feet took a minute with the 300 dollar gas trimmer , but for light duty and the cost of this , Buy it because it's really worth it .

I have not used it yet but did put it together and charge the batteries and turn on. Light weight and feels good. Don't see any reason it won't do the job.

I only needed this for one job I was doing out of town and it did what it was supposed to do, I let a neighbor have it when I was done and as far as I know it still works

Too get straight to the point it works, but not as expected.First off, right out the box, there are no real directions. Just a sheet a paper that assumes you can figure out what is what with blurry black and white photos "showing" you how it should look. Basically take off the rotator, put on the guard, put of the guard "chalet", and then screw the chalet to the guard. Afterwards put the rotator on and whatever blade attachment you want to use.Is what I would have liked to have done, but it didn't have any screws. It seemed sturdy enough and wasn't moving so I figured it would be fine without a little screw attaching the guard and chalet. Well I guess not, but it could have happened with the screw on to be honest, because the chalet melted to the rotator (and the guard after removing the chalet).The only way I can use this weed wacker is with no guards and the hope and faith that I won't sever my leg off with a saw blade.Seeing as how the saw blade can't cut through a pencil thick tree sapling I think I may be okay. But I bought this with the thought it could cut through branches and such as the pictures suggested. It's only good for grass and briars.As for the battery I can get about an hour out of one. Good thing it comes with two. But it takes half a day to charge one battery. Better than my last one that lasted 30 minutes and only came with one.Also it come with wheels but no directions as to how to attach them. So I just have a pair of wheels now, guess I can DIY a small barrel with them.

I love it. The wire does run out pretty fast but the blades are amazing. Lightweight and does everything you need to clean a small yard with grass, weeds and shrubs
