If you’re a DIYer with little taping experience, this works great for drywall corners. You do need to put it on thick but once you do, the tape sets in easily. I tried the sideswipe knife edge approach and just couldn’t get the mud even enough to not have gaps under the tape with no mud. This roller sped up placing the mud by 4x and placed it more evenly. A bit messy but for me, so was the sideswipe knife method

I got these as an experiment on T-111 siding to try and paint the groves on it but didn't work out so great but work great on what they are designed for corners, they work great on that . Oh well I tried.

simple and quick and very little residual clean-up after the first 5 minutes of figuring out the best technique for the applicator

Within 2 minutes the first roller pad fell apart. This roller holds much paint that cannot be accessed due to the dink underneath the pad. It may be good for other applications, but not painting. Use a brush and narrow roller, much more efficient.

Painting corners is always frustrating. If you use a brush, you get a different texture than a roller and it takes more time - dragging the ladder about, etc. I thought this corner roller would speed things up. However, the design seems to concentrate the absorbent material on the sides of the roller, and leaves the edge relatively less densely covered. When I applied pressure to force the roller into the corner, paint dripped excessively from the absorbent material. It DID speed up painting - this roller can screw onto an extension rod, so there's no need for a ladder. I didn't bother to wash the roller cover - it isn't too big, but it IS very thick and absorbed a lot of paint. I think it would require quite a bit of time to clean the cover well enough to reuse. And I lost more time cleaning the drips than I saved by not moving a ladder around. All in all, not worth it in my opinion.

Getting proficient at applying drywall mud with a six inch mud knife takes time and practice. As a weekend warrior, I just needed to get the work done. With this roller I was able to easily do 200 feet of corner tape in just few hours. The trick to using this roller for mudding is to repeat these steps in quick succesive order. Dip and roll it in the mud pan, apply roughly three feet, dip and roll it in the mud pan, apply another three feet, apply the tape over the mud, and embed the tape with the six Inch mud knife. This way it goes on thick enough and does not dry before the tape is pressed down. This roller is fast because it is applying just enough mud to secure the tape, so the mud pan lasts longer before refilling. Also note that I thinned the all purpose mud to roughly pancake batter consistency, this way it sticks on the roller good and its wet enough to not dry up before the tape is applied.I recommend for to the DIYer that just needs to get the job done.

This thing works great for paint. I tried this with drywall mud. Absolutely, such a waste. Just do the mud with a smaller knife. Use like a 3-in knife and you will be fine. This roller was a terrible idea for using with drywall. Mud. Ultra messy didn't even put enough mud on to make the tape stick.

It does a good job rolling in tight corners in living rooms, bedrooms, stairways, etc. It rolls smoothly. It connects to paint extension poles. Easy to use.

I just finish a 1000 sq ft taping job. I, historically, am a terrible drywall taper. This tool with a corner trowel left beautiful, stress free corners. Highly recommend.

Great for cutting in for those high reaching areas. Screw it on to your extension pole and you’re good to go. Great time saver too. Product actually operated better then I expected.
