First, it arrived completely assembled. Kudos to not having to assemble it.Second, I'm so glad I waited to get this. It was initially out of stock and I almost ordered the 3 in 1 convertible hand truck. The addition of the folding bottom platform for the 4 in 1 convertible hand truck just provides so much more utility. In addition to allowing you to carry longer loads in the cart configuration, the folding bottom platform reduces the amount of space it takes up when stored. The hand truck is surprisingly light, and despite being aluminum feels very solid. The folding bottom platform and handgrip bar are both made of steel. Heavy duty solid wheels and casters allow it to roll effortlessly. One possible improvement would be the inclusion of locking casters, but I cannot fault Cosco. The design is basically perfect. The engagement of spring loaded locking grooves provides very solid tactile contact with the frame when changing configurations. The sliding parts work easily and are not stiff. There is no flexing of any of the parts in the frame. The three different configurations as a stand up dolly, a 45 degree rear leaning dolley, or flat cart are very stable and easy to maneuver. In the 45 degree and flat cart configuration, the rear wheels are employed.I'm very impressed by the quality of this hand cart. I compared several other hand trucks from different companies, and Cosco is the only company with the folding bottom plate. It's a very unique feature and very well engineered. Well worth the money.

This actually the second Cosco hand truck I have purchased. My first one is the three in one version. It has served me so well, I decided to buy a second one. I was so happy to find this one, as it is the four in one model. In addition to it converting from a traditional hand truck to a flat bed, the toe plate folds down to accommodate longer items AND this particular one also adjusts to a 45° incline for moving things like plywood, mirrors, glass etc. Another huge plus for me is the fact that it is so lightweight I can easily lift it in and out of my car with a little to no effort and yet, it will support a lot of weight. In the five years that have passed since I bought my very first one, I have had zero issues with it whatsoever. So, when I decided to invest in a second hand truck, there was no question of what brand to purchase. Thanks for making a quality, durable and user friendly product.I recommend it to anyone and everyone who is looking for something like this.

This really is a heavy-duty 2 wheeler, it carried a 313 pound save from an apartment to my car with no problem, smooth handling and is made really well, I love it, highly recommended, the best part is you can use it for the future handling of any other heavy appliances or items.

This dolly transforms into any possible configuration you would need to move most household objects. The 3rd wheel configuration is especially useful to keep something from having to be lifted back up.The dolly is heavy but is very sturdy and able to go over dirt and gravel fairly well. I've used it to move across country and have taken it up a hill in the woods with no issues. The tires not having air is convenient but air-filled tires would be a smoother ride. There are lighter and more compact dollies but there aren't any that configure like this in any reasonable price range so I would recommend this product.

I needed a convertible dolly for light to medium home use, and this unit has been great. It folds up easy, holds more than I’ll likely ever need, and the folding bottom plate allows me to store it easily in a smaller slot right next to my tool chest. I always worry about plastic latches, but these seem very sturdy. Overall I’m glad I picked this up even if it is a bit of overkill for my purposes.

Highly Recommend. Purchased in 2019 for antique business; light and dependable; five years later this hand truck still performs and maneuvers well. Always my first choice over steel trucks with pneumatic wheels. If you are moving items over 400 lbs apply some common sense and use an “appliance dolly.”Construction and Weight. Aluminum body that’s well made; much lighter than old-school steel hand trucks. Durability continues to be outstanding. Steel hand truck frames are more durable but the durability comes at the expense of weight. Did I say I hate pneumatic wheels (yes, they have a role to play). Yes this truck is rated to 1000 lbs but one look will tell you this truck is not designed for lifting loads over 400 to 500 lbs consistently.Reconfiguring and Maneuverability. Changing truck configuration - e.g. upright to 45 degree angle - requires a bit of thinking. After five years of heavy use the truck does not always reconfigure easily like it did when new. Welcome to middle age! Works fine on all four wheels (not the best on gravel / uneven ground) but shines in a traditional hand truck roll.I read through the One Star reviews prior to posting this review. I dismiss the complaints about damage during shipping - this does not address how well the hand truck performs. Yes reconfiguring is challenging for neophytes (see above); Yes the truck has plastic parts (ours have not failed after years of abuse but common sense applies here - I would not lift items over 400 lbs despite the weight rating); Yes sometimes you get a dud; and to the person who complained about marks on their carpet, maybe Darwin was on to something.Lastly. The only bummer is the truck is not made in America and the only reason it does not receive Five Stars. Gotta stick to my standards.
