The CPT Pre-Filter adds an added layer of mesh to your filter, helping to stop even more debris and water from getting into your engine. When too much dirt builds up, you can easily slip the filter cover off, rinse it in the sink, and reinstall it without having to tighten and untighten the filter hose clamps. Works on most cone style filters (please check size).

Great product. Put on my Cobb sf intake on my 2009 wrx to block from slush and water because I live in Colorado and was concerned with my filter getting wet. Product is full waterproof and also great for protecting filter from leaves and debree as well. Seems to keep filter cleaner for longer as well. 100% recommend

I put this on my Turbo BMW E46 325ci with a bottom mount setup. My filter is directly next to my wheel well and bumper (where the fog light usually goes) and I had a major issue with sucking up water in boost when it was raining outside. Surprisingly this product deflects water well enough to allow me to drive in the wet and have fun in boost.Tires don't thank this product but I do. Highly recommend for any weird/wonky cold air intake/hidden turbo setup.It was easy as heck to install- slip it over the filter all around and that's it.

Like another review, stuck my hand under the faucet and this guard let water through. It does seem to repel water, just not a direct flat hit. Your still screwed if you get the car in a puddle, but splashes seem to be repelled. My intake goes below my engine, I hope this does its job.

This has saved my butt I can’t twll you how many times! I have an aem v2 intake on my accord which sits even with the bottom of the bumper and have had too many close calls hitting puddles before I started using this! Definitely keeps me from worrying as much!
