The material needs to be in the description even though it's listed down in the description. I thought for the price I was getting a metal stand. It's composite/engineered wood. Yeah, my fault for not reading all the way through, but still expensive for a small slab of wood and 4 cheap casters. The caster mounting holes are pre drilled, and they provided about 6 more screws than needed.

I like that it’s on wheels and that my APC UPS fits on it well. We have a lot of short power outages here and needed my new computer hooked to an UPS. Where I had my computer before I had my UPS on the floor behind the desk and it was extremely hard to access to plug or unplug items. I wanted to put it ON my desk but it would take up room and be cluttered. I have a new L shaped desk I love so lots of floor space under it but an UPS is heavy and still hard to pull out when needed. I bought this to sit my UPS on to make it handier to reach and pull out. Hubby attached a twine handle of sorts, just twine stapled into it, so I can more easily grab and pull it out. I have also bought labels to add so I know what I am accessing to unplug. I will mention the “walnut†is just particle board with a cheap walnut plastic or something glued to it. In my case this did not matter, the UPS pretty much covers it and looks fine under my desk. Overall I’m happy with it. Hubby could in years past made me a much nicer one but he almost cut 3 fingers off last year and now they are inflexible so I don’t like him using his table saw. Honestly under a desk with an UPS on it the aesthetic is fine!
