I received three crab hooks. They were both packaged as shown and there were no gloves or tongs. The line was cheap and broke the first day.

This kit comes with 4 hooks with string for crabbing, saves me alot of time tieing chicken drumstick. Just hook and start crabbing!

Apparently, this is the old school method of crabbing. I had no idea, but I'm trying to get into fishing and wanted to try something new. At this price, this set is a super simple way to try out something new. With that said, it is cheap for a reason. The line is just simple cotton string with a big weight attached to the end. The glove is a bit odd, because I feel like the thin soft glove won't protect your hands at all, however, I'm not about to stick my finger in front of a crab to find out though, sorry!In my opinion though, it doesn't matter whether this is the highest quality set. This is an exciting way to try something you haven't done before, and the idea is so simple, it's hard to mess up. Attach bait, throw it, wait, pull, repeat!

There's a place a few hours away that has become our favorite "local" RV camping spot. Sits right on the mainland side of the ocean sound, and we always have fun fishing. However there are crabs .... lots and lots of bait stealing Blue Crabs. When the grandkids go along, they have as much fun trying to get crabs on shore as they do a fish. But they never catch enough for us to eat.Going to introduce them to the "old school" method of crabbing on our next trip. Between these lines and what they land with rod and reel; we may finally get enough of legal size to fire up the kettle!The grabber tongs and glove are a really nice bonus. While Blue Crab claws are only about an inch in length, they are very strong and very sharp, and you could easily lose a finger tip trying to handle them. So safety first, steamed crab second.
