It was hard to find a modern looking doorbell that did not sound like a buzzer. This one is elegant and has a beautiful sound.

Nice, loud chime with a decent enclosure. Took one star off because the black plastic housing has tabs that extend beyond the side tubes when viewed from the side, which is noticeable on a white wall.Install was easy and it still looks better than most builders chimes. Would buy again.

Bought this in August of 2024 and only lasted till October 2024. What a waste of money. When we built this house our old Craftmade lasted 12 years! Now its 3 months. Tried to get my money back due to it still being on warranty and dealt with 3 Customer Service Amazon agents on email. What a joke dealing with these folks. Each one gave me the run around trying to avoid giving me a refund. The manufacturer said I had to deal with Amazon regarding the warranty. I am thoroughly disgusted with Craftmade and Amazon over this matter. I finally got approval for a return for refund. It only took 2 weeks.

Our doorbell camera will not work with electronic chimes it only works with a mechanical chime and this one was a simple swap and has a great sound.

Update as of 2019, the seller of the unit replaced the unit for free, hence I increased the rating from 1 to 3 stars.This Chime has it's benefits, but the problems heavily outweigh the benefits.The sound from the chime has a strong volume, and is rich with a harmonic sound. The tubes on the side are visually quality metal. The cheap plastic white cover in the center leaves a lot to be desired for the $60 price. I would have rated this a 3 however ...When a delivery came to the house, and pressed the doorbell it failed to complete the chime. We could smell a strong electrical burning smell. We root caused this to the chime failing. The chime was professionally installed by an electrician, hence it's unlikely it's installation error.Failing after 8 months of very mild use is not acceptable for a $60 product.

Very easy to install. Installation instruction and and all accessories Included. Nice sound and much louder than my old one, very happy.
