I’ve never bought thinking putty before, but the doc prescribed something like this to a family member, wanting them to use it for strength and dexterity in their hands. I have sensory issues and whenever they weren’t using it, I would borrow it to squish to my heart’s content. When I saw this, I had to get it for myself.I’ve only just received it, so I can’t comment on whether or how quickly the colour fades. Out of the box, the colour is really beautiful. The consistency is perfect: based on other reviews, I was expecting it to be slimier than it is, and I’m glad that’s not the case.It’s getting the thing out of its tin that’s a challenge. Mine had leaked around the edge and dried, creating a sort of seal that made opening the tin even more difficult. Luckily, I had just ordered a spudger, and that made things a lot easier (see photo). But based on this experience, I’m being careful to keep the tin flat, which means I can’t just chuck it in my backpack. This is not okay. I will need to find a better storage solution, which is disappointing given the price tag.So why five stars? Because the squishy is super squishy and wonderful, and I couldn’t bring myself to subtract stars for the subpar tin.

In case the title doesn’t say it enough, I absolutely love my Crazy AaRONS Thinking Putty. It’s great to squeeze on when I’m concentrating on something or when I’m just bored. I like twisting it into different shapes and seeing how it settles. The first pic is my spiral twist. The second is the pattern made after it settles.During use, the putty looks dull. After about 3 minutes of rest it goes shiny again. The color is beautifully mesmerizing and I definitely recommend it. I also recommend washing hands before each use to remove excess oils and keep your putty clean.The container was a little difficult to open but not too bad. Removing from the can takes a little work but again, not too hard.

Beautiful, stretchy, and satisfying to play with. The color reminds me of labradorite. Helps greatly with fidgeting. Only downside is difficulty with opening the packaging for the first time; it took about 5 solid minutes of prying and twisting to get it unsealed.

Got this for my 9 year old daughter's birthday. She requested Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty, so we chose the Super Scarab. She LOVES it and the color is so pretty. It's mesmerizing!!! My two older children and my husband and I have all asked to have a turn holding it, because it's just so pretty to look at with all of the different colors. It's very stretchy, durable, and does not stick to clothing or furniture like some putty and slime do! LOVE IT! Would definitely recommend. This would be great even for an older child, teen, or adult as a fidget/soothing toy.

I've heard good things about Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty and decided to get one for each of my children for Christmas and one for myself, because I'm a child at heart. I got them the glow in the dark Eclipse version and myself the Super Scarab.PROS:- So many color options!- Nice storage tin- Reusable- Thick texture keeps it from drippingCONS:- All the putty seems to slide to one side of the container unless stored completely flat, leading to it being very hard to open the lid as it oozes a bit into the gap between container and lid- VERY sticky and hard to get out of the container- Expensive

This has a beautiful color that shifts depending on the lighting, and I really enjoy the texture. It is soft and stretchy, but not sticky to the touch. If you leave the putty on fabrics it will stick, but dropping it on the carpet or sofa won't lead to a mess as long as you don't leave it there. Definitely recommend any Crazy Aaron's product, as they're always high quality,.

I know this putty is sold as a toy, and I have bought it for kids' birthday gifts in the past. But when I broke my arm 3 months ago, and had distal radius repair (titanium plate installed) and carpal tunnel release surgery, I bought some for myself. I can work with the putty while on zoom meetings, it is really FUN to play with, and helps me stretch and strengthen my hand and fingers, which I could barely move after surgery. Now I am back to using both hands well. I use this as part of a serious hand rehab program that includes different exercises with putty. I just ordered Super Scarab and Sweet Surprise (with little items embedded in it) to give to my hand therapy team as a thank you gift. The putty is a little bit sticky, but that does not bother me. It is reminiscent of Silly Putty from years gone by, but infinitely cooler. Glitter, iridescent, glow in the dark, yes please! (I'm still a kid at hear, what can I say.) The putty does get softer as you work with it. Great desk toy, fidget toy, and hand rehab tool.

This putty is so beautiful! Though I purchased it for my 9 year old, I’m often mesmerized by the colors which are always changing! She loves that she can roll it up and bounce it like a bouncy ball. I love that it doesn’t seem to get stuck in things. She often leaves it out, sitting on a table, and it easily just peels right up. The only negative thing was that the can that it comes in was so impossible to open, we had to use tools to pry it apart, which dented the tin and now we can’t put the lid back on. My daughter would like to bring this with her when we go out, but without a lid, she can’t just throw it in her bag. Without a working lid, I also worry about the shelf life since the putty is always exposed to air, but we’ve only had it for a couple of weeks so time will tell, and so far it’s ok. Overall, it’s a hit…. Just wish we could keep it safely in the can it came in!
