It's exactly what I was looking for. I purchased the distressed cream and it's beautiful. The clock has some heft to it. The back cover is plastic but it is very nice. It is very quiet. I had to hold it to my ear to hear anything.

Beautiful clock BUT… advertised as silent but can clearly hear the clock ticking even though there is no second hand… For a quiet room or at night, it is very audible.

Love this little distressed looking bird clock! Looks great with my french country decor. Very accurate! I added my own gold accents to the birds to make them pop even more. LOVE LOVE LOVE! Great little clock. NOT CHEAP looking and its a bit heavy as not plastic. Backing is I think but its pretty and perfect and easy to remove to put battery in. So glad I purchased it!
