  • Use the 1/4in grip side to cut whole inches and trim seam allowances.

This is the ruler you need right next to your sewing machine. I use it to mark my inline seams and triangles. I keep a second one in my sewing bag for when I go to my block of the month class. I always have one with me. I love all of my Creative Grid rulers. They're easy to read.

I got the 6" ruler and I use it for miniatures rather than quilting or fabrics. I wanted a firm straight edge that I could see through and this ruler truly does stay in place because of the treatment on the underside. Stays put yet easy to slide to a new position.

Great ruler.. I have the 12" and use it all of the time but for some projects and tasks, a 6" will do. I've seen others but since I was aware of the quality of the 12" I was excited to see the 6" available. Fantastic!

Item was ordered in early December as a Christmas gift for a family member that quilts but took nearly a month to arrive. I was horrified when the item arrived, which is barely the same size as a pen, yet cost $27. Like many artistic activities, this is another example of suppliers taking advantage of unknowing buyers and charging absurdly high prices for niche items.
