This extension is great! Just long enough to use in those tight places where the hole saw needs a couple of inches to go through a block or stud! I used it today with a 4" hole saw and it performed great!

I bought this because I needed to cut some deep holes with hole saws that has 3/8" arbors. It works great and runs true.

The bit release, pull-forward action is perfect for use in tight spaces without loosing a bit when its rubbed up against an adjacent surface when screwing in a fastener, which is something I have frustratingly experienced before. It also helps with pulling a bit out with one hand which is important because I usually have the next bit ready in hand to replace it.Unfortunately this extension does not hold a bit securely. There is a LOT of lateral, in and out, movement and a little sloppiest in holding one. I bought this for use at work and these shortcomings are a deal breaker.

If your looking for a heavy duty quality 7/16 extension, then this product is for you. Being a professional tradesman, this extension is well worth the price. The quick connect is very easy to load and firmly holds bit in place. I used this extension on a 2 1/2" hole saw and had no issues and it turned true without wobble! Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quality quick connect extension!!!

The package says 3/8" and 8 mm?? The spring-loaded quick disconnect is closer to 8 mm than 5/16", and it's definitely not for 3/8". I tried to insert a 5/16" quick disconnect shank step bit, and it had about a 1/4 turn play when inserted. I didn't remove the extension from the package because I decided to return it right away.

Works good but the chuck release is opposite of most, the release is upwards and can be a pain for some tight areas, if it gets caught it will release the bit when pulling towards yourself.
